American Tragedy
Tonight is a catastrophic failure and a reason to get loud.
Tonight will be an American tragedy enabled by our government & press who have failed on every level to defend us from a disgraceful traitor who will use every trick from his bedside book of Hitler’s speeches to re-indoctrinate & radicalize our citizens into a death cult.
We deserve better than this.
The chain of failure required to allow a cabal of oligarchs, traitors and foreign dictators to prop up a crumbling psychopath in front of the world tonight — to embarrass us in every possible way — is catastrophic.
FBI, DOJ, and DHS are simply not doing their jobs.
The intelligence community seems to be almost entirely asleep.
The January 6th Committee went all-in on pinning the entire event on Trump, which is factually wrong, and contributed to a completely inaccurate public perception.
The military not only refuses to deal with Mike Flynn, but is allowing his brother, who held back the National Guard for three hours on J6, to remain as commander of the Pacific Army.
The White House and the President have failed to explain any of this to the American people, and have allowed ineffective, at best, bureaucrats like Chris Wray and Merrick Garland to grind our entire justice system to a halt.
To make all of this vastly worse, the corporate press still insists that this is just a political race, and has moved the Overton Window all the way to Nazis. It refuses to report on the insurgency threatening our existence, and when it dabbles in people like Mike Flynn, it universally minimizes them.
For those of us watching this in abject horror, who understand the implications of all this, and feel insulted, embarrassed and heartbroken, we must not give in to despair, despite what will certainly be a disgusting display tonight.
We must remember, everything CAN be corrected, the system has stood its ground for 250 years. We will be ok. But we have to stand up as a collective citizenry and demand that our institutions do their jobs.
It should not be your job or mine to defend ourselves, or to warn others about an attack on their sanity. We should not have to scream bloody murder when the Supreme Court legalizes machine guns and wants women to die in a pool of blood.
It’s not our job. However, we do have the power to demand others do theirs. We have the power to rattle the cages of the press until we see them look past their editor and the milquetoast stories they get fed. We have the power to turn up in front of SCOTUS and declare our independence. We have the power to let the President know we are fed up with this.
I can’t tell anyone what to do. All I can say is that we have four months to go before a date that’s being set up to deal a death blow to our nation, regardless of the vote. All I know is we can all do more. Voting is crucial, but it is not enough.
Get up. Speak up. Do not submit in advance.
We are still the United States. Don’t let anyone tell you different.

Damn it, I hate it when I to have to get up off my comfortable sofa and take to the streets in protest. I’m too old for that shit. But you’re not wrong Jim. You’re definitely not wrong.
I have had it with the "free press",as they call themselves, but I 'd call it just another part of an upcoming unemployment line which no benefits will be paid. They may excuse themselves for how "they see fit to write about the election" and I may write about why is it 91% of Republicans, now MAGA, have never heard of Project 2025? Is it because TiKtok doesn't spread it, they don't get it on FB, their churches don't know, or their head is in the sand the same 91% of the time.
I understand many don't get how recession and inflation work and their counterparts in that % that is meaningless if unknown. But, if voters trust Trump to defend democracy over Biden and the economy when Biden's economy, albeit is being felt negatively by parts of the country, is the best in US history something is terribly wrong.
The death cult, MAGA, is like Duterte's death squad, calling themselves Dutertes, in the Philippines and probably no one knows about that either and it is far more current than Hitler's Germany.
The SCOTUS can't make up their minds to be originalists or pragmatic as they can't be both according to the majority. Yet, they can, when purpose serves them as in Trump's immunity case or the fact they even heard the Mifepristone case based on no damages, only what ifs. WTF?

Trump is lying to his base, is the definitive definition of self-contradiction and yet the evangelicals will never be able to repay his service that allowed them to go to church on Easter Sunday during a pandemic shutdown in 2020. He asked Bob Woodward, in The Trump Tapes, if he should worry about this plague or the economy? Mind you this was the fall of 2019. Long before we found out.
I'm happy some are speaking out but without an endorsement it is lip service. Especially with last names ending in Barr and Bolton.
We have to keep up the vigilance and know We The People have the power until we don't. Biden is the Executive not the one who wants to return to the Executive at this moment.
The next time I see a word about "polls" "polling" I'm turning away because the one thing that fails to be polled is that would it make a difference, if you knew Trump was guilty of the Espionage Act, especially since he lies about the actual border and crime and drugs, and perhaps think Biden met with Xi to discuss learning Mandarin when in reality it was teeny pieces of fentanyl being stuffed into teddy bears aboard a cargo barge? Or the depth of the January 6th indictments?
We can't do our civic duty with our eyes blindfolded and hogtied to a tailgate of a pickup truck, well, those who don't know, and so how can anyone expect us to?
People don't understand the Founder's arguments over the word DEMOCRACY so they say in revolt "We don't want DEMOCRACY.", and have no idea what that means. This needs to be like going back to the 5th grade. Talk slow, explain even slower and test at the end, which will be a vote, one way or another. If it doesn't happen we're F'd. I don't watch the debates, EVER. I watch quietly alone after they are done. I want to discern for myself and then compare and contrast those sources who'll talk about nothing other than them for weeks.....while instead they should have a trial scheduled in Cannon's courtroom to talk about.
