On another topic - Jim you are not alone in your research being inverted and used for nefarious purposes. This is happening to sociologists too. This is our own govt paying for this research and using it for military purposes. What do you think about researchers being a little more informed about how they make decisions of who to take money from, how to research that, and considering what ways their research could be inverted and used for nefarious purposes? I am not opposed to getting ahead of allies.
A lot of people will have no problem with it. Fine, get those people to do the research then. For people who would rather do something else than risk being a major player in the creation of a modern day MKUltra, I think they should at least have a fighting chance.
Sorry I can't edit this for some reason so - I meant "adversaries" not "allies" and I meant to be more clear that - right now people researching don't really have a chance they are innocent. I would like it if there was a way for them to be more informed. So at least the innocent researchers don't become victimized becoming shocked what their findings were used for.

Jim this is a really telling piece of writing. All I can say is that America is the only place on earth that becomes addicted to idiots. They constantly want to be told what to do, what to think. NO I DON'T MEAN EVERYBODY so don't throw that at me. Again. I'm talking generally. Even people that complain about him being a fascist make it sound like it's possible they are not reading him right. So they joke about him. they don't want to be seen as threatened by him and they most certainly should be! He takes away their dignity and they think he's funny and "just trump being trump!"
Jim, this is one of your most important pieces, all the more for its simplicity. We should look at all 'political' events in light of whether it promotes or degrades human dignity.
Thanks. This one came rushing out all at once. I had never really thought deeply about what dignity actually means. When you break it down, it’s basically the agreement that holds up society. “I am worthy, regardless of my status. Or yours.” When that breaks down, bad things happen.

This is a great piece, Jim, and very important for us to understand at this perilous time. I especially liked this insight:

Dignity left the office of the Presidency 1/20/2017, briefly returned 1/20/2021, and left again 1/20/2025. What a shame!
