Auditioning to be a Nazi on Telegram
“Can a high IQ Slav be a proper NatSoc?”
TW: Racism, Nazis
I see hundreds of Telegram conversations every day, but this one stuck out at me. While the subject matter is absolutely sickening, it’s fascinating at the same time, and instructive about how the process of radicalization works.
“Augustus” came into the “N-S” discussion group — which stands for National Socialist aka Nazi — and wanted to know if he qualifies to be there.
What ensued is a conversation like you might have about fancy food or wine, listing different aspects of the product most important to evaluating its quality — country of origin, color, etc. Except they were talking about a human being, right in front of them, who was willingly going along with his own evaluation. The reviews are mixed:
“Yeah I think that would work.”
“I am skeptical about Slav genetics”
In light of the lukewarm reception about Augustus’ qualifications to be a Nazi, he counters with the fact that he has “Nordicist aesthetics” and really likes “Nietzsche and Heidegger.” Also he’s tall, and “relatively muscular.” 😑
He admits, however, he wishes he “had piercing blue eyes and hair” although I assume he left “blond” out.
This leads into a casual conversation about eugenics and genocide. “Britain, Germany and France” are definitely in the Nazi club and “to a lesser degree Spain and Italy.”
“So if we are going to have a European identity, it has to be arranged along these lines.”
“Arranged” is doing a lot of work here. What could he mean? He clarifies:
“Lets say we institute a European eugenic program. What qualities are we going to select for, and what qualities are we going to select against?”
“Everywhere has been affected by the Frankfurt school though”
This requires a little unpacking. Conspiracy theories about a cabal of Jews and liberals at the Frankfurt School who created a movement called “cultural marxism” has been used by Nazis for decades. Numerous white supremacist mass murderers have included this idea in their manifestos. Tucker also loves this concept.
It’s just a revised version of the Nazi propaganda term “Cultural Bolshevism.”
It should be noted that “cultural marxism” was popularized in the 1990s by “paleoconservative” William Lind, who also created the idea of “4th Generation Warfare” — which is Mike Flynn’s playbook.
