Clarity of Purpose

The political posturing is over.

First, let me say that Joe Biden will be seen as a towering figure in American politics. While I have been very critical of the administration for its failure to bring accountability for J6, Biden’s record of achievement is truly historic. He brought us out of COVID through a perfectly executed “soft landing” — and now the economy is the strongest in the world. We have reestablished NATO as the most important alliance in history. The foundation of America is strong thanks to Joe Biden’s leadership. I am deeply grateful to him.

But for the last several weeks, since the fateful Debate, the corporate media and spineless, feckless Democrats have been smearing the President as too old, too feeble to run again. Yesterday, they achieved their goal, and Joe Biden withdrew from the race. As I wrote, the way he has been pushed out, through a public influence campaign — through psychological warfare by his own party — is a disgrace.

However, I also said if the President decides to make a change, I would salute and get in line. Well, Joe Biden made a change. For the good of the country, he gave up immense power as the presumptive nominee for the Democratic party. And he endorsed one of the most qualified people who will ever run for President, Vice President Kamala Harris.

Contrast that with the Republican nominee who cooperated with Mike Flynn and many others to use mass violence to retain power on January 6th.

My biggest complaint with this administration has been the lack of results from the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigations for their failure to bring the people who stole the 2016 election, and waged kinetic war on the Capitol to try and steal the 2020 election, to justice.

Kamala Harris is a former prosecutor and Attorney General of California, who was on the Senate Intelligence Committee and knows where the bodies are buried. Here she is in May 2017 laying into the Trump administration for bringing Mike Flynn into the White House.

Kamala Harris understands the stakes, has a depth of experience perfectly suited for this moment, and will keep her promise.

“The American people deserve accountability.”

Yes we do.

It has been a long journey for me, four years of trying to avoid another J6, while I watch our enemies continue to wage war on all of us and forces inside and outside the government protect them.

We have less than four months. But we also have a brilliant, transformative nominee in Kamala Harris, who has earned her role as the leader of the Democratic Party, and the leader of everyone who wants to preserve democracy around the world.

I cannot wait for President Harris. I urge everyone to get behind her, get over any residual grief about Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the race, and leave it all on the field to get her elected. #KamalaHarris2024
