The Kremlin has moved away from its claims that Ukraine is a “Nazi state” to claims that Ukraine has been taken over by Satanists. So instead of “denazification” we have “desatanisation.” This may seem like just another propaganda campaign, but it is far more dangerous than that.

As we know, Mike Flynn has been perverting Christianity in order to radicalize people into a racist holy war. So the Kremlin shifting its propaganda strategy to religion is a very significant escalation.

Putin is a totalist, meaning he believes that anything he does is justified. It is the ultimate human expression of “the ends justify the means.” He’s been influenced by a wide array of fascists, demagogues and neo-Nazi “philosophers” like genocidal neo-Nazi Aleksandr Dugin who informs Putins “Eurasianist” goals of a Russian Empire spanning across Asia and Europe.

But Putin is also very close to Kirill, the leader of the theocratic fascist Russian Orthodox Church, who has now given Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin the title of “Chief Exorcist.”

No, seriously.

Putin and his warlords are explicitly calling this a “holy war against Satanism.”

Oddly, the Russians have picked out “The Church of Satan” (CoS) which was created in the ‘60s by Anton Lavey, as the primary foe. CoS is dangerous but not remotely in the way Putin suggests. I don’t know how many people are in CoS in Ukraine but I would expect it to be vanishingly small.

Here’s the article — translated from Russian — describing Ukraine as a “witch cauldron.”

As I have mentioned many times, I don’t care what people believe as long as they don’t hurt anyone else, but “Satanism” has been weaponized to pull lots of well-meaning people into cryptofascist propaganda operations like “The Satanic Temple.”

Groups like this intentionally create “Satanic Panic” by aligning with “leftist” policies while inserting dangerous propaganda to make themselves seem insane. And theocratic fascists use them as whipping posts to prove the left is “evil” — as Putin is doing right now.

The Satanic Temple is Not Helping
Note: This article is not a commentary on any religious belief. As I have mentioned before, I have friends and acquaintances with every imaginable belief system, including occultists and both theistic and non-theistic Satanists. For me, you are free to believe literally anything you want, but if you hoax or hurt people, you are fair game…

This “holy war” is a manufactured conflict designed to reignite ancient hatreds in order to tear the world apart to make room for Putin’s empire. He will not stop on his own, he is a fascist, which means he must be defeated.

For some understanding of how it went down in 2014:

Kliment says that the sermon led by Crimean priests of the Moscow Patriarchate on the territory of Ukrainian Military bases can be described as “ideologically subversive work.” He described these events to Meduza: “When it was time, priests of the Moscow Patriarchate found themselves on the territory of Ukrainian military bases, preaching about love and friendship: ‘You do not have the right to shoot because before you stand your Russian brothers, and you will have their blood on your hands.’” Kliment says that “they openly worked to convince the soldiers to become deserters, and demoralized the Ukrainian army with their sermons.”

They talk about "magic rites" when their own priests claim to be able to say some mumbo jumbo over wafers and sips of wine, magically transubstantiating it into the body and blood of "Jesus Christ" so that their parishioners can "literally" cannibalize the flesh and blood of a 1st century Jewish victim of a Roman execution.
