Anyone can file a civil claim and force you to answer it. With civil litigation, the process can be abused for the improper purpose of causing the victim(the Defendant) emotional and financial hardship. Some States have anti-SLAPP laws, but defamation law is complicated and expensive, and it's surprising how few lawyers know its nuances. As far as criminal charges go, that's a different story. Now that Patel and Bondi rule the roost, they are going to have great difficulty convincing Grand Juries to hand down criminal indictments of DT's political opponents. One of America's greatest protections of rights is the Grand Jury system, the purpose of which is to protect its citizens from the overreach of government persecution. I'm confident that the Grand Jury system is one of the guard rails that is going to hold.

These people are SO transparent -- well, they are to THINKING people, anyway. These petty little man-children want to show everyone how powerful they are by going after anyone who says anything negative about them -- things, by the way, that they DEFINITELY do themselves. I see it in comments online from other right-wing freaks, something that they've been accused of, and are objectively true, are turned around in only a few weeks to be hurled back at their enemies, the Democrats, et al.

I think the true test for what we're all in for is if RFK, Jr. gets confirmed because if that ridiculous man is confirmed by the Senate, they will ALL get confirmed. Kennedy has been the most vocal about his views, and they're all insane. Everyday people know him and what he thinks, and I don't see any massive protests around his confirmation, so he's the "acid test" for the future of this maladministration. If RFK, Jr gets in, Tulsi, the ALLEGED Russian asset, and Ka$h, the ALLEGED chud, are shoo-ins.

Zersetzung is real in Amerika Jim! Thank you for reminding us of it. If you think something is off or out of place, trust your gut. The cowardly acts of these people include hacking, tracking, hidden cams and mics, and of course Pegasus-type software to spy on me typing this! There are also creepy people that may follow you around, of course leaving no trace(until you see them again). A synononym for zersetzung is irony, so I use their attacks against them by just refusing to go down. It's what they hate the most (see "she persisted"), and really the only tool that I have.

The least I could do was contact our senators, and ask them not to confirm him.

It's hard to imagine anyone voting "yes" with a straight face.

I agree with every comment about the legal system and using it for lawfare. Trump and his band of idiots don’t comprehend is that most Americans relate more to the sportsmanship of football than WWE. It’s artificial to encourage this outrage between Americans. It’s performative outrage just like WWE - done to get the crowds going. Fine for the stage but not good for daily living.

Trump’s playing his hand by bringing in people the WWE to be key advisors.

Kash Patel appears to be interested in carrying out the agenda you point out.

BUT our threats are a lot bigger and we need a functioning FBI and Justice department.

I know too many people who are aware of the need for a functioning Justice Department/FBI (because there are real badasses out there) rather than more political performers pretending to be badasses.

Ka$h’s history illustrates that he is great at the “show”, but what is needed is the actual ability and history of competence that will allow people to trust the Director when their lives are on the line.

Citizens protested and entered the Stasi building in Berlin; with a sign accusing the Stasi and SED of being Nazi-like dictators (1990).

I don’t want to live here with a Nazi government.
