DeSantis says she’s “over the target”

Christina Pushaw showed up as Ron DeSantis Press Secretary around the same time that Rebekah Jones started to blow the whistle about Florida’s COVID misinformation in 2021.

Ron Desantis responds to his Press Secretary Christina Pushaw having to belatedly register as a foreign agent: “The only reason they’re attacking her is because she does a great job, and she’s very effective at calling out their lies.”

Pushaw was just forced to belatedly register as a foreign agent to former Georgian president Mikhail Saakashvili.

In the response from a DeSantis spokeswoman, they claim Saakashvili and Ukrainian President Zelenskyy are “close allies.”

That’s an interesting claim because Putin went out of his way to pressure Zelenskyy to restore Saakashvili’s Ukrainian citizenship.

I’m glad the Justice Department is finally catching up to Pushaw’s status as a foreign agent, but it’s been clear for a long time to those who bother to look.

Being a Russophile isn’t a crime but it is certainly interesting the people and causes she supports and the actions she takes. Why would Pushaw sidle up to erstwhile presidential contender and ludicrous fascist performance artist Ron DeSantis? Why would she build a network of hate accounts designed to torment Rebekah Jones? 🤔

And why would @KassandraSeven and @conspirator0 conspire with Christina Pushaw to get Rebekah Jones banned from Twitter? And then do it again to me? It’s a mystery.

As Maddow suggests, maybe this has something to do with all the foreign assets — and Mike Flynn still roaming free to weaponize them. Just a thought. 🫤
