Reflections and a few gentle requests

Hey all,

So glad you’re here. Sometimes I send a note out to sort of summarize things, especially when I have a lot of new folks joining us.

If you’ve found your way to my Substack without much context, welcome! It can be a lot to take in. As a very quick background, check out the About page.

TL;DR: I’ve done a lot of stuff on the internet, started five companies, won awards, invented things and earned 8 patents for it. I’m qualified to speak on the subjects I write about, and I have been working for 26 months straight with zero days off on this project in order to learn, monitor and expose the network.

I post multiple times a day — on very busy days up to ten times — so if it’s too much or distracting for you during your day, I recommend filtering my emails into a separate folder so you can pick and choose which ones to read when you have the time. Or use the Substack app.

I also have a few sections which you can opt in or out of separately:

• MindWar, which is the main page where I expose disinformation and the bad actors responsible for the fascist insurgency we all see and feel around us

Subscriptions

For a while, I had some content for paid subscribers only. I may return to that at some point, but in the current emergency, I don’t feel right about keeping things from my readers, so I made the decision to make it all free a while back.

Right now paid subscriptions currently have three main benefits:

1. You can join our Zoom chats every week where we talk in detail about what’s going on for 90 minutes. We also do screenings and have special guests sometimes. I’m not sure “fun” is exactly the right word but it’s always super lively with great conversation. :)

2. You can comment on posts and discuss important stuff with other smart folks.

3. You will be helping me keep going. The only income I have from this work is my subscribers and doing this takes up a huge part of the time I would normally be using for paid job stuff.

Note: This is a no-guilt zone. People have enough to worry about without adding me to it. If you can’t afford it, or just aren’t sure about it yet, no worries at all. The most important thing is that I keep people informed. But if you consistently get value from what I do and have 7 bucks a month to spare, please consider upgrading. 🙏💙

I’m concerned that the next several weeks are going to be very intense at best and that the mid-terms have the potential to be a sort of low-level insurrection all across the country with 30,000 poll workers being recruited by Mike Flynn’s organizations to intimidate voters.

It’s very important that everyone understands this threat, votes early / now, and avoids the polls on election day UNLESS you are willing to show up and a be a poll watcher yourself. We need people willing to counteract the goons currently planning to show up for the other side.

Vote now. Early. Today. Tell your friends and family to do it too. Take as many of the variables out of the equation as possible that they can manipulate.

Women’s rights, voting rights, gay marriage, democracy. It’s all on the ballot. So is Putin.
