Gaming It Out

I’m proud of my country for another massive non-violent protest yesterday. No Kings is a critical show of force from the population. While it might not solve anything directly, it is very effective psychological warfare on the government—to let them know there are millions of people who are prepared to mobilize.
My big concern remains that no one that I know of is gaming out the big picture of the American scenario to its inevitable conclusion—using all the tools available, including abnormal psychology.
When you understand Trump’s pathologies, you can easily predict with great certainty that he will continue to escalate his evil-doing in even bigger and more dangerous ways until something actually stops him. It’s math. His mental state will worsen. His delusions will get grander. He will need to kill more and more people to get satisfaction. He has no red lines—or bottom.
We need leadership. We need a plan. We need a group of world-class psychologists, constitutional lawyers, political scientists, psychological warfare practitioners, and military experts to lay out the things Trump might do that we don’t want to imagine, and triage potential options to stop him, be they political, legal, or covert.
The reality is not political or even geopolitical. It is existential. The commander of the most powerful kinetic force in the history of mankind, the U.S. Armed Forces, is an imminent global security emergency with a wide array of options for doing historic damage, including the largest stockpile of nuclear weapons in the world.
The people around him, of course, are incompetent sycophants—which is a double edged sword. For example, you can download the FBI Director’s inbox right now from the internet because Iran hacked his phone. That’s terrible for national security, but it shows, once again, how inept Trump’s retinue is, and how easy they should be to manipulate.
Generally speaking, we still have the big problem that media and politicians continue to perform in a political system that no longer functions at all. It’s like a phantom limb they refuse to acknowledge was amputated.
We need leaders willing to break the fourth wall of this alternate reality theater and do some real tactical planning, because otherwise, even though we all know the end of the play includes destroying the theater with everyone inside, we’ll just keep sitting there, watching, until the end.
