Giant Sucking Sound: Trump’s Illness Is Creating a Power Vacuum

For a narcissist, leaving center stage is torture.

Donald Trump has not been on camera since the Cabinet meeting six days ago. While the White House and MAGA promoters have posted a series of pictures and videos purporting to be him golfing, or otherwise behaving normally, they have all been shown to be misdated or fake. This is really all the evidence you need to know that something has gone very wrong with Donald Trump.

Moreover, his “Truth Social” posts are decidedly different than usual, to the extent they seem clearly ghostwritten. Here are his three “Truths” from today:

His account tries to explain his tariff policy for India “for people to ponder”—which sounds nothing like him. The account praises Democratic Mayor Muriel Bowser and says her “ratings have gone up.” When is the last time he praised a Democrat? And, after saying Operation Warp Speed was “the greatest achievement ever” at the Cabinet meeting, he suddenly backtracks and says maybe it wasn’t so “BRILLIANT” after all—and signs it with “President DJT,” which he almost never does, as if trying to prove it’s still him.

Trump has been seen only a few times, caught by reporters staking out his Virginia golf club where he has been holed up since Tuesday. Here are the last two verified pictures of the President from Labor Day.

Vascular Disaster

From the evidence we have so far, Donald Trump appears to have serious vascular problems, and either had an ischemic stroke, or a cluster of transient ischemic attacks (TIAs) aka mini-strokes, that have rendered him unable to speak in front of a camera. Here are his current medications as prescribed by the White House medical staff for “cardiac prevention” and “cholesterol control”—in April.

• Rosuvastatin (cholesterol control)

• Aspirin (cardiac prevention)

• Ezetimibe (cholesterol control)

The third medication ezetimibe, reduces cholesterol by reducing intestinal absorption, but it is not a first-line treatment. Statins (rosuvastatin, atorvastatin, etc.) are the standard. Ezetimibe is added when a patient is deemed very high cardiovascular risk (prior stroke, TIA, coronary event, or multiple risk factors).

• ACC/AHA guidelines recommend ezetimibe + statin combination in patients with established atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) who have not reached LDL goals. That includes stroke/TIA survivors.

In plain language, Trump’s doctors were already managing him like a stroke patient. The normal period for rest and observation for someone who had a small ischemic stroke or a cluster of TIAs is 7-14 days. It seems clear the doctors are concerned enough with his health to force him away from the cameras—and that the White House is covering it up. The Labor Day Message has no new video.

Based on standard prognoses, two paths are likely:

• If it was a TIA cluster: intermittent lapses, dependence on handlers; more ghostwriting, short scripted clips.

• If small ischemic stroke: lasting subtle deficits; longer time out; seated, tightly staged re-entry.

Narcissistic Collapse Won’t Help

The medical danger is compounded by his psychological profile. As I’ve written extensively, Trump is in narcissistic collapse from his failures to suppress the Epstein story, his failure in Alaska, and his declining approval. A collapsing narcissist experiences sustained rage, humiliation, and psychic injury when their grandiose self-image is contradicted.

• This state keeps the body in chronic hyperarousal: cortisol spikes, elevated blood pressure, heightened sympathetic nervous system activity.

• In someone with atherosclerosis + statin/aspirin prophylaxis (like Trump), these stress surges can destabilize arterial plaques or trigger clot formation leading to TIA or ischemic stroke.

• For a narcissist, the weakness and powerlessness of stroke symptoms add additional stressors to an already unstable psyche, increasing the risk of additional TIA or ischemic stroke. Together, this creates a dangerous spiral: psychic collapse fueling vascular collapse, and vice versa

I note that the Epstein survivors are planning a major press conference on Wednesday. This will further destabilize both his psyche and his body.

Power Vacuum

JD Vance, since he assured America last Thursday that he’s “ready to step up” if “god forbid there is a terrible tragedy,” has been almost entirely absent, even on social media. There appears to be no coordinated messaging plan for how to handle this situation by the White House beyond a few red herrings and some ghostwritten Truth posts.

Over the weekend, Trump’s account posted a QAnon meme. In the middle of a medical blackout, that may be the most significant signal of all. This is very significant in this context because “Q+”—which Trump is holding in his hand—is QAnon lore for Trump himself. This validates “Q” and “Q+” from the President of the United States himself.

For a man who clearly is unable to communicate, this creates a separate quasi-official channel, “Q+”, that like his Truth account, can be voiced by anyone.

Into that vacuum step Kirill Dmitriev—Putin’s longtime aide and sovereign wealth fund manager—and Mike Flynn, moving quickly to fill the gap. Here is a brief summary:

• Dmitriev notices Trump’s post about “Q+” and decides to highlight it

• Antisemitic QAnon account “Shadow of Ezra” notes this

• Dmitriev quote-tweets “Shadow of Ezra” indicating friendship between the US and Russia: “🇷🇺🤝🇺🇸”

• Flynn minion Liz Crokin, one of the most persistent and dangerous promoters of Pizzagate and QAnon, replies with fire emojis

• Dmitriev picks her out and praises her

• Crokin takes Putin’s side over the “Deep State”

• Mike Flynn aka “Q” quote-tweets Dmitriev with “Pacem in Terris” which came from a Cold War Vatican encyclical on peace

Earlier, Flynn tweeted a QAnon diagram about a Soros plot to steal billions from America. Dmitriev praises Flynn: “The US is developing some awareness of the systematic brainwashing through the fake-narratives machine.” Dmitriev’s final line “Follow the 🐇” is the very first slogan used by Q followers in 2017. He’s deliberately crediting Flynn with Q.

This is the first time we’ve seen a Kremlin official, an American general, and QAnon’s core influencers openly braid their messages together—and an extremely dangerous sign that Russia and Flynn’s network are already trying to fill the vacuum left by Trump.

Just In

As I was writing this, Trump scheduled “an announcement” in the Oval Office for Tuesday afternoon at 2PM ET, exactly a week after the Cabinet meeting.

Knowing this regime, my only prediction is that we will be presented with far more theater than truth.
