If they perceive “the left” as such a threat, why was there no security at the event?

Also why is Patel so rubbish at policing, when he has had so much experience with the [wrong side of the] law?

The scary thing is, it doesn't matter who the killer turns out to be - a fervent MAGA with a personal grudge against Kirk, a man who has voted for Trump twice.

Hippo Don and his cronies will use it to purge the Democratic party anyway...

I wrote a short essay called "Sleepwalking into Authoritarianism" nearly 6 months ago, which accurately predicted what the Trump administration would do and become. It's the only article on my Substack if anyone wants to read it. The worst is yet to come.

It's only a matter of time before Trump decides Democrats should have their guns taken away

At this point, I don’t think anyone is giving up their guns - as long as Trump and crew are in power. They are just going to stock up - and that’s what Putin will love.

I swear the portal to hell is open, as this feels like the only explanation for all of this chaos and evil. What the hell has happened to these people? We live in completely different realities. Don’t they have any self-awareness to realize they’re the ones who have incited the violence? I’m still in disbelief that this is all happening.

The More Dangerous Case of Donald Trump: 40 Psychiatrists and Mental Health Experts Warn Anew Paperback – September 27, 2024

by Bandy X. Lee (Author)

Trump will likely shed his mortal coil sooner rather than later. The special interests that coalesced behind him and supported him will still be around, but their effectiveness will be somewhat diminished. The MAGA cult will start to fade without its sun, its star, its Trump. They will still need professional help which they are not likely to get. They are stuck with us and we with them until someone or something can really stop the polarization. We need a new vision and no one has yet articulated, shown or described it. Maybe Texas State Rep. James Talarico is close, but he will need strong allies to support that kind of high-minded, spiritual approach. It may be too high of a bridge for many to cross. Just enough of those with integrity would do though.

The US situation is dangerous enough as it is without letting our imaginations frighten us into paralysis. We have a decent bench of State leaders capable of busting onto the national stage by exposing the unconcealed Trump-Maga corruption and steamroller recklessness. Media-savvy leaders can seize every opportunity to expose Trump-Maga m in plain language as the lying traitors they are. Confident leaders can put the wannabe tyrants on notice that the tables will inevitably turn against them and that they 'll be the guilty criminals on trial before the nation.

The GOP comparing our timid Democrats to Pol Pot or Stalin is like comparing Charlie Kirk to Charlie Brown! The Republican party is clearly the party of bump-stocks, assault rifles, race-hate, qualified immunity, tax dodges, and Epstein coverups, and other sweetheart deals for the elite. Of over 5000 mass shooters, only 3 or 4 were trans, and the majority were white men radicalized to the right by people exactly like Charlie Kirk, Kash Patel, Blondi, Donald Trump, Tucker, Elon, and the rest of this criminal criminal confederation of scumbags.

Your article this evening, scared me real bad, even though I knew what you had written, was based on facts. I've often wondered how trump could throw Democrats in jail and stop elections, and here we are. We're so screwed 😖 Thanks, Jim, and will reStack ASAP 🙏

I don’t think the Dems would be behind it because we are the ones that wanted the Epstein files released and so did Kirk. What would be the point??? Charlie Kirk was a shitbag but he was not as bad as Stephen Miller or Russel Vought. Those really are much worse in that they are either dismantling the government or just being the most cruel and disgusting sub-humans on the planet. Kirk wasn’t even as toxic as tRump himself!!!! Did tRump have a stroke??!?

I do wonder if some in the Republican Party were behind the murder of Kirk. In order to declare Marshall law and designate the dems a terrorist party. Is this too far fetched? As the article says, they are now making a political hero out of Kirk. I do know that I would not like to live in the US right now. Too many itchy trigger fingers and not enough critical thinking going on!

I have thought the same. The novels and the Masterpiece Theater version of House of Cards tells the story of the party assassinating the PM because a no-confidence vote was coming. They made him a martyr and stayed in power. I actually thought it might be Trump, but I see your reasoning on Kirk. Martial law before Black Friday?

I only wish people understood that fiction reflects life. This personality didn't just thrive it's grown exponentially. Since we don't have a necessity to have not only the physical health of our leaders examined, their mental health is always going to be in question. Until it's to late to stop them. Trump is only ONE case in point.

I've had the same thought. In any case, the shooter had to be well trained. Maybe ex- military or a hunter? The account of the rifle being found with inscribed ammunition was bogus and has now been walked back. The thought is out there now, which was the point. They needed a martyr. Is this our Horst Wessel moment?

I fear we're going to see some really bad things in the near future. This could trigger martial law, mass arrests, and who knows what else.

I wouldn't put it past Miller to set up a hit. Nothing surprises me from the right anymore.

As it turned out you were right! Tyler Robinson was trained by his own family to be soldier. He was exposed to weapons from childhood and they glorified in teaching their children to be so proficient! Also his grandmother says they “are all MAGA so why would he do this?” Such comment leaves us with no words left to say.

They have Graphite now. It downloads with zero-clicks, is undetectable, and turn your phone into a surveillance device accessing you camera, microphone, apps, contacts, etc. Nobody is safe.

I think the NSA has had that ability for quite some time, though not as sophisticated at first. They used brute force monitoring, which is very inefficient and throws lots of false hits.

I don't consider my devices safe anymore, though I take as many precautions as I can, like using Proton instead of Google. They have a very good VPN and app suite. They're based in Switzerland, they're covered by the strongest privacy laws on the planet. It does cost a bit, but their prices are very reasonable.

My second career was in IT tech writing for DoD. I learned that if someone wants your data bad enough, especially at the nation/state level, they're going to get it. I started using military- grade passwords (16+ random characters), which is a pain but are impossible to crack without quantum computing.

Given that almost everything is connected to the internet, frequently through cell towers, it's almost impossible to "go offline" without living in a cave.

Suzanne's avatar

I agree about the cave part. It’s discouraging. I used to work around IT people, and now I have no one to ask and no conversations to overhear. This Graphite was banned , although purchased, under Biden from Paragon Solutions. He put out an Executive Order banning its use because of the threat of abuse of it into privacy. The laws aren’t clear either— warrant? Wiretap? Judges don’t understand anyway. There was a similar one before that wreaked havoc called Pegasus that NSO developed. I think Apple blocked it somehow, but so far, Graphite is a Zero-click delivery and can’t be blocked or detected. An American company bought it, so now the Biden EO is moot (no longer foreign technology), and ICE is using it. The professors on Kirk’s list are probably worried. If we are Democrats, they are going to call us all terrorists. I’m worried a little myself.

The question is: who did Charlie Kirk piss off in the MAGA world, so much so that it was decided he would be a good candidate for a sacrifice? I wouldn't put it past Miller, either, but there are a couple of others who seem particularly blood-thirsty

You could be right, about making it a “Horst Wessel moment” because trump has jumped onto that bandwagon already without even knowing who the shooter is! If the admin isn’t pulling a fast one they are certainly taking advantage of the poor guys death. I understand Kirk was a Evangelical Christian so they are going to try and get the religious followers thinking their faith is being attacked too. Boy oh boy Charlie is going to be worth more to them in death than he was in life! Your also right about Millers character. I wouldn’t put anything past him or Vought or Musk and trump will tell any lie to get his way, that’s a given!
