I just finished reading Chris Hedge’s recent post regarding the dissolution of American society. He posits that our nation is well down the road to failure in the same way that Rome fell. It took many years for Rome to fall. In our current age of mass surveillance, instant access to the populace by the state via the internet and the cell phone, the fall of the United States is complete. I believe that there is, at this point, no turning back from the total breakdown of society.
The genocide in Gaza is nearly complete. The death of all those who remain there is just a matter of time. Netanyahu will arrive here next week, and the complicity
of the people of the United States in the mass murder of over 200 thousand fellow human beings will be on full display for the world to see. But it will not matter, nor will it change the course of the extermination.
It often takes reaching that point where we realize—like those who recognized too late what was happening in 1930s Germany—that we're watching something unthinkable unfold before our eyes. That sick, helpless feeling so many have today about the direction we're heading.
While protests are necessary and valuable, we need more! We need forceful leadership with an integrated federal, state, and local strategy that includes: a comprehensive 2028 playbook for returning the country to decency and humanity; a focus on elections (if they still occur as we know them); expansive public outreach across social channels; continued legal initiatives (though now hampered by a compromised Supreme Court); strategic fundraising for the most critical causes and those directly threatened by current policies; and other innovative tactical components.
We need a multi-dimensional, multi-functional resistance infrastructure to make this happen.
The question is: How do we build it? The talent exists and the anger is brewing—we need to channel both into coordinated action before it's too late.
I am curious, aren't the atrocities being committed with the immigrants, cutting basic needs for citizens including food and medical care , fall under crimes against humanity?
Unfortunately the rest of the world hates the USA now, and who can blame them! We have to figure out how to rescue ourselves. Jim, you're the right person at this time to help us see clearly and act wisely.
The trouble is that no one wants to take on the country with the biggest military industrial complex in human history. Even if every democracy works together, it’s still a one sided fight to save you all.

However, Trump's cabal may plagiarize the Nazis again here and use this moment to neutralize MAGA (our SA), which is a potential armed threat to a flip-flopping ttrant like Trump.
