Joe Biden had the power to prevent this. The Democrats could have defended their constituents. Instead we will have a “smooth” transition to a regime that will never, ever give up power voluntarily.
Donald Trump has started to announce his “Cabinet” which is just a bunch of people who have kissed up to him that he thinks are from “central casting.” These are the mouthpieces Trump will puppet while oligarchs and foreign dictators puppet him.
Trump also announced that South African Nazi Elon Musk, who has made $70 billion in the week since the election — over $200 for every man, woman and child in America — will head the “Department of Government Efficiency” or DOGE which is named after a crypto pump-and-dump memecoin Musk manipulated several years ago. Musk promises “austerity” and “hardship” while he steals us blind.
There will be plenty of time to mourn the end of America, to watch the nation we grew up with crumble into an feudal theocratic oligarchy. But I think it’s important to reflect right now on lessons learned while the wound is fresh. To me, there seems to be an overarching theme.
Incrementalism lost. The results of that experiment are bleak.
The economy has been captured by oligarchs.
The Rule of Law no longer applies to elites.
America is an untrustworthy joke on the world stage.
We have to face these basic facts and consider what it means. In my view, it means we need a new movement outside the political process that sees this for what it truly is — a class war against the American people in cooperation with our foreign enemies.
To counter this threat and retake the political process for We the People, I think we need to make it clear what we want. Here are some ideas.
Demolish the oligarchy.
Return America’s wealth to the people who created it and to saving the planet. 90% tax on billionaires.
Rebuild the justice system.
Restore the Constitution to its true spirit and codify our 250 years of progress by Amendment. Clean up the Jim Crow election system.
Enforce all laws, including crimes against the Constitution by elites that have gone unpunished.
Defend freedom globally.
Start at home. Restore freedom to women, brown, Black, LGBTQ+ and all other vulnerable people who have been targeted.
Declare Russia a terrorist state. Prosecute American collaborators. Recommit to NATO, Ukraine and a two-state solution.
These are just my initial thoughts, but my essential point is that if we continue to stay mired in the current political system and try to change it from within, we will simply sink deeper into this quicksand. We need a show of force by the people of America that are tired of the weakness, the corruption and the lies. We need a non-violent revolution.
Long live America. 🇺🇸

We’re going to go through some hard times.
I suspect that the Democrat’s massive loss to the MAGA crowd was as much a shock to you as it was to me. I mean, the depth and extent of the racism and misogyny that this election reveals in our “melting pot” country is stunning.
Not sure that “non-violent revolution” will be possible here. Progressive ideas and attitudes are more likely coming from other parts of the world for the foreseeable future.
And then there’s the little matter of irreversible climate change.
What a joke. The meeting.
