I have, out of pure necessity, extensively covered Jeffrey Epstein and his innumerable and disturbing connections to Trump and the regime he unleashed on America. In many ways, the project of bringing Trump to power over the last decade was the same project as covering up for the crimes of Jeffrey Epstein, denying justice to his victims, and keeping his co-conspirators and “clients” safe from prosecution.
Epstein and Trump were very close for over fifteen years, the evidence of Trump’s guilt is already undeniable, and it was already clear he had to cover it up.
However, this jaw-dropping internal DOJ memo obtained by Axios, shows how far this regime thinks it can go to gaslight America.

Despite Attorney General Pam Bondi previously asserting that she had the “Epstein list” “on my desk right now to review,” she now says that it never existed after all. From the memo:
This systematic review revealed no incriminating "client list." There was also no credible evidence found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions. We did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties.
Here is Bondi in February:
“It’s sitting on my desk to review.”
To summarize:
2011-2019, Florida AG Pam Bondi didn’t charge Epstein for any crimes
2019, US AG Bill Barr charged Epstein, who died almost immediately
February 2025, Pam Bondi said she had the Epstein List
June 2025, Elon Musk said Donald Trump was on the Epstein List
July 2025, Pam Bondi said there is no Epstein List
To paraphrase a former president: come on, man.
Trump has hired a clown car of people who had already proven their motivation to cover up for Epstein, like Alexander Acosta and Bondi, or who have expressed their willingness to do it, like professional liars Kash Patel and Dan Bongino.

The reaction of the MAGA / QAnon / neo-Nazi movement is deeply negative. For people who have been trained to believe that Epstein was going to be the key that unlocked the door of arrests, persecutions and executions of Democrats—cult members who have been steeped in the mythology of Pizzagate and QAnon—this is like a punch in the face.
The letter acknowledges over a thousand victims of abuse and over 10,000 pieces of visual evidence of crimes and claims “teams” of people went through it.
“Consistent with prior disclosures, this review confirmed that Epstein harmed over one thousand victims. Each suffered unique trauma. Sensitive information relating to these victims is intertwined throughout the materials.”
“The files relating to Epstein include a large volume of images of Epstein, images and videos of victims who are either minors or appear to be minors, and over ten thousand downloaded videos and images of illegal child sex abuse material and other pornography. Teams of agents, analysts, attorneys, and privacy and civil liberties experts combed through the digital and documentary evidence with the aim of providing as much information as possible to the public while simultaneously protecting victims.”
Yet they could find no new crimes or perpetrators from all of this information?
Moreover, the only new “evidence” they did provide was an “enhanced” tape of video of the entrance to Epstein’s cell—which was missing a minute at a critical time. [NY Times gift link]
This is not a “cover up.” This is raw totalitarian gaslighting from a regime that is already in turmoil.
Trump has already lost the support of Elon Musk, Vladimir Putin, and much of his own base. He cannot afford to have any more erosion. Nevertheless, the day after announcing that Epstein is a nothingburger, Trump will host war criminal Bibi Netanyahu in the Oval Office—after getting the Israeli Court to delay Bibi’s criminal corruption trial. This is also not going over well, for almost anyone.

The only thing we can be sure of is that Trump’s degeneracy, violence, and sadism will get worse. And, as his own supporters and allies turn against him, he will project the injury to his ego onto the suffering of Americans.

Currently reading a book "Divorcing the Dictator" about Panama's General Noreiga. Not quite finished but author's point of view is that Noreiga had to be taken down by Bush Administration because the Reagan administration failed to reign in state prosecutors in Florida who were determined to prosecute Noreiga for drug dealing. Things just got out of control. Noreiga could not be allowed to leak to the world what he knew and he knew a LOT about CIA/Intelligence in the U.S. and the world. Noreiga involved in running guns to Contras and to Sandinistas. He was on the CIA payroll for decades and, at one time, making as much or more from the CIA annually as the salary for the President of the United States!
Perhaps Florida will once again pull the house down because Florida prosecutors want people to be held accountable for the crimes Epstein committed? Also, the victims are still alive and have been denied justice as a result of Epstein's "suicide".
David Cay Johnston thinks the house of cards won't collapse because the client list includes both Democrats and Republicans. There are too many things that could unravel that would be damaging to too many powerful people and the existing political system.
Still, won't give up the wish that Epstein, from the grave, could pull Trump out of the chair behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office and remove him permanently from power and the White House.
And Doocy, of all people, called her on it.
