America has fallen to, as Sarah Kendzior wrote about the first Trump administration, “a transnational crime syndicate masquerading as a government” — except in version 2.0 they are not bothering to masquerade.
The Russian economy is on the brink of collapse because the Russian military is currently being held up by bad loans to the Russian government, by banks Putin controls — a fatal death spiral. The ruble is in free fall. Nevertheless, incredibly, it appears America is coming to Russia’s rescue.
Trump has been deeply compromised by Russian intelligence for at least four decades and is now completely surrounded by Putin’s assets.
But after a recent phone call, Trump stopped pretending altogether. At a press conference yesterday with President Emmanuel Macron of France, Trump would not call Putin a dictator — despite saying it about Zelenskyy — and lied so badly about Europe’s aid to Ukraine that Macron had to grab Trump’s arm and fact-check him in real-time.
The United States voted no on a UN Resolution demanding the return of Ukraine’s territory from Russia, putting us in a small group of Putin’s servant nations, including North Korea and Burkina Faso.
At the same time, economists see an inevitable recession looming and Trump is making no effort to stop it, because unless it can be used against him, he doesn’t care.
Well, it can.
The current budget deadline is March 14th. Failure to pass a budget would cause a government shutdown. The Democrats should not help Mike Johnson with a single vote. None. Whatever these puppets do should be on their own.
Johnson will almost certainly seek to tie the budget into a deal to raise the debt ceiling — a ridiculous, unnecessary step that Republicans have been exploiting for many years to extract demands from Democrats. Well now that ridiculous shoe is on the other foot, and the Democrats have the leverage. They must use it.
…if Congress does not raise the debt ceiling by sometime in the late spring or early summer — the exact timing is not yet clear — then the government will default on its obligations.
There is (almost certainly) no way for congressional Republicans to raise the debt ceiling without Democratic cooperation. This is because the House GOP has a mere five-seat majority, the smallest in modern history. And many House Republicans are unwilling to vote for a debt limit increase, unless it is paired with politically toxic cuts to government spending.
The Democrats have no other way to stop what this regime is doing. They must fight this war on the battlefield, and with the rules, that exist, not with “norms and institutions.” There are no more ways to pretend that we’re doing “bipartisanship”. All of that is over. Either Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries makes demands and stands by them, no matter the consequences, or we may as well all put our armbands on now.
Here are a few simple bullet points that should not be negotiable:
DOGE must be shut down. All material stolen from the government returned. Employees illegally fired by Elon Musk must be allowed to return to work.
The United States must stop appeasing war criminal Vladimir Putin and reaffirm our commitments to NATO and Ukraine.
The US Congress must reestablish its Article One powers and put a check on the radical unconstitutional expansion of the executive by this regime.
It continues to be striking to me that our elected leaders are so out of touch with what’s really happening on the ground, despite being so close. As I reported, heroes like former Capitol Police officer Michael Fanone are being publicly harassed in DC by the people who organized the violence that nearly cost them their lives on J6, including the J5 pipe bomber, Ivan Raiklin.
So, as a bit of inspiration for Hakeem Jeffries, here is Officer Fanone’s response to the terrorists who were harassing him, including “that little bald-headed midget, Ivan Ranklin.”
“If you want to make a martyr out of me, bring it the fuck on.”
I had a similar message for Reichsführer Musk who just claimed that Canada, of which he is a citizen, is “not a real country” because there is a major petition against him. As I’ve written, Musk’s grandfather left Canada in 1950 for the greener pastures of South African apartheid because he did not succeed in creating a North American Technate.

Well, this American is not about to roll over for some techno-feudalist imperialist ethnostate. If Musk succeeds, it will be over my dead body.
I like Hakeem Jeffries, and I’m sure the new DNC Chair Ken Martin is a great guy.
But we don’t need nice guys and gals. We don’t need fancy oration. We need leaders with principles we believe in who will stand up for them no matter what.
We will come stand with you, if you will give us a place to stand.
We will rise up, if you show us you are willing to rise with us.
But no more cowards. Draw a red line. Make them return America back to its people, or let it burn down around them. We will rebuild if we have to.

The right message, a brilliant and courageous messenger! Thank you, Jim.
Right on all accounts, Jim -- the right strategy to be adopted by the Dems, and the right sentiment to be expressed by all true Americans. Thank you for your stirring video.
