1857: SCOTUS upholds slavery in Dred Scott
1860: Lincoln elected
1861: Civil War starts
1863: Lincoln ignores Dred, issues Emancipation Proclamation & Congress EXPANDS SCOTUS
1864: 13th Amendment makes slavery unconstitutional
Dobbs was our Dred Scott. Imagine if Lincoln lost and SCOTUS had given the President the powers of a king. We might still be a nation of slavery.
We are in a civil war right now. This Court is murdering and torturing women every day. They legalized bribery, while taking bribes from oligarchs. They legalized cheap machine guns. They ripped out the federal government’s ability to regulate, and gave the power to themselves. They gave POTUS the power to commit another Holocaust.
If we let this SCOTUS back in the building, they will rig the election. Let me repeat, if we let this SCOTUS back in the building, they WILL RIG THE ELECTION.
The plan of the New Confederacy is to overthrow the election by decertifying electors and creating a contested election which would “throw the vote to the House.” There is a 100% chance this current SCOTUS will uphold the legal challenges required to enact this plan.
The President should issue an Executive Order shutting down the Supreme Court building until the beginning of the next Congress when Democratic majorities can impeach criminal Justices, expand the court, and create term limits.
If we continue to ignore this cataclysmic threat to our way of life, and let Confederates back on the bench this Fall, the constitutional crisis and potential violence that would result is hard to fathom.
We need a Lincoln, who is willing to do what is necessary to preserve American democracy and form a more perfect Union. And we need a Congress willing to do what is necessary to contain the rogue Branch of the US government shredding the Constitution.
