In a way the AI problem mirrors the problem with America. We have been raised in a country that’s been “breathing its own exhaust” forever. Americans are taught that we are an “exceptional” nation, somehow not required to behave decently in the larger world.
It is what it is sadly. A country that committed suicide by electing Trump twice. The video with the kids says it all. Trump is not well. We chose fascism and lies. America First is another fascist friendly movement that we must reject. Tucker loves Orban and platforms Putin. The whole crew, MTG included, aligns with Russia. Useful idiots, more? Not sure, but we need leaders who clearly align with Ukraine and Democracy and criticize Russia. Putin got what he wanted and more with his man in the White House, the man who laid low the USA.
America has reached an impasse; it is being confronted with its own moral dilemma.
Is it a great democracy and a bastion of freedom, or is it a corrupt kleptocracy and a rotting corpse?
The writers of the Constitution did not consider that such a vile and unqualified human being would be elected President, based on a foundation of lies, and then impose his complete lack of morality on the entire system of checks and balances.
Trump's cabinet and GOP enablers have chosen self-interest and self -preservation over country and all human decency.
The murderous Trump presidency has laid bare every defect in the system. It needs some serious fixing.

I’ve just done a major overhaul of my garage, which had subsidence.
Walls, lintels, roof, doors, windows, underpinning, and external works.
Then I thought, AI couldn’t have done any* of that.
But apparently humans are obsolete!
