Monkeypox in Europe and the US?
Obviously no one should jump the gun but this sure as hell looks like a Russian biological weapons attack
There has been a sudden outbreak of monkeypox in Europe. It showed up in three separate cities simultaneously.

Now just in. We have it in the United States.

Monkeypox is still endemic in Africa but it doesnโt show up in the West, basically ever. Person-to-person transmittal is extremely rare.
At least the CDC, doing its best Susan Collins impression, is concerned. You donโt say, CDC?
A cursory look at monkeypox reveals that in aerosolized form it can survive up to ninety hours.
And, of course, the Soviets weaponized monkeypox and the Russians are the only country besides the US to store live specimens of its cousin โ smallpox.

Hereโs an article from 20 years ago. โMonkeypox could be used as a bioweaponโ is pretty clear.

As always, you should look into this yourself. Also itโs definitely nothing to panic about. Monkeypox is fatal 10% of the time but Itโs highly unlikely this could turn into an epidemic in the West because itโs very hard to transmit. Smallpox vaccine is 85% effective on monkeypox as well.
Regardless, this looks like biological terrorism to me. Iโm not sure what else explains this set of facts. Hopefully now that itโs in the US, they will be more than โconcerned.โ
Thanks for all the great news Jim! ๐คฃ
