Naked Fascism: When the Emperor DARES You to Say It

There has never been a more rapid descent of a modern democratic nation

Yesterday, the official White House Twitter/X account posted a video of the nominal President of the United States passing out hats to the press with the phrase:

“TRUMP WAS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING”

This phrase is effectively identical to another slogan — of the central figure of Italian Fascism, Benito Mussolini:

“Il Duce ha sempre ragione”

“The leader is always right”

Mussolini and Hitler were allies of course, until Mussolini met his end hanging upside-down in an Italian village in 1945. Nevertheless, Trump is not only not hiding this reference, he’s delighting in it.

Trump was speaking to the press after summarily breaking with the 111-year history of allowing the White House Correspondents’ Association to determine the White House press pool, and seizing control of who is allowed access — and who is not — for himself.

This is, of course, de rigueur in all fascist takeovers. The “propaganda press,” or the “lying press,” or the “fake news,” must be eliminated or the regime will not be able to successfully control the reality of the masses. This reason for Trump’s dismissal of the WHCA is identical to the Nazi takeover of the German press association to create the Reich Press Chamber in 1933.

As two examples of where all of this is headed on the “liberal” side of the corporate media, the fiercest truth-teller remaining on cable television, Joy-Ann Reid, was fired from MSNBC and replaced by a bunch of former Republicans. And Jeff Bezos, the aspiring trillionaire who owns Amazon and took a seat at Trump and Musk’s kids’ table, has decided that the Washington Post Opinion page only needs his opinions now.

This morning, Trump, allegedly the U.S. President conducting a “Cabinet meeting,” handed the floor to the unelected head of DOGE, American National Socialist half-trillionaire Elon Musk, before Trump said much of anything — and before the Secretaries In Charge Of Destroying Their Own Agencies were allowed to speak. This post reads like Kim Jong-Un announcing his first Cabinet meeting after Hitler took over North Korea.

Attempting to address the allegations that Musk and DOGE were making arbitrary cuts that were having unintended consequences, the acting autocrat of America said:

“And I should say, we will also make mistakes… But we will fix it very quickly, so for example, with USAID, one of the things we accidentally cancelled very briefly was Ebola… Ebola prevention. I think we all want Ebola prevention so we restored the Ebola prevention immediately.”

The layers of arrogance, ignorance, illegality and downright evil embedded in this short clip are too much to untangle here, but here is just one example of what Musk is leaving out of his false narrative that he’s going back to fix things. All of it is a blatant, and intentional embrace of not just fascism, but the genocidal kind. This is eugenics and “social darwinism” at scale.

To be clear, white people can catch Ebola so that’s a problem, but Black kids dying by the hundreds of thousands is a feature not a bug.

Speaking of children dying, here is Donald Trump, pushing his plan for “Trump Gaza” via an AI created video that is one of the most vile outputs I‘ve ever seen. The imagery here, from bloated Donald Trump and Bibi Netanyahu lounging at a Gazan pool, to Elon Musk being showered in cash, to belly-dancing drag queens, to Gazan children allegedly being returned to Shangri-la when Trump has already said the ones who survived would be kicked out, is beyond bizarre and offensive. But again, it is intentionally so for a reason.

This is no longer “IYKYK” fascism. It’s, “Yes, This Is Fascism. What Are You Going To Do About It?” fascism

And that of course is the question. What are we going to do about it?

Well, as the actual impacts of this regime’s war on America are starting to be felt, not by liberals and beleaguered Democrats, but by the very people that were snookered into thinking that fascism would be good for them, things will change. It is just a matter of time before the realization kicks in.

At the “Cabinet meeting,” the psychopath in charge of the nation’s health, Robert Kennedy Jr., said the recent measles outbreak is no big deal — and in the past has actually advocated for people getting measles. In reality, the first measles death in a decade was an unvaccinated school-age child after a large outbreak of over 100 people around Lubbock, Texas.

Fascism is a word that people shrunk from for a long time because it seemed, well, too much. Welcome to what happens when you shrink from the truth. You get people who won’t even believe them when they tell you to your face.

“Il Duce ha sempre ragione”

But he was only “right” until he found out. May all fascists meet a similar ending. 🇺🇸
