Narrative Tectonics — Something Has to Give

The war for reality is grinding towards the Big One

There are, in very broad terms, two realities that exist at the same time.

In one manufactured reality, shared by tens of millions of people in America alone, the world is a degenerate hellscape of people who deserve to be hated — a world that needs an authoritarian to create a new world order free of all the undesirables.

In the other reality, where everyone else lives, the actual world is being disintegrated because people believe the manufactured reality is worth losing their friends and families — and ultimately their lives for.

The manufactured reality, where some 30-40% of the country lives now, has been created through information warfare, specifically narrative warfare — which is exactly what it sounds like. Narrative warfare is both offensive and defensive military tactics to deploy disinformation, including coercive propaganda and influence campaigns, into the press, social media and any other forums for a specific psychological impact.

Using narrative warfare, the QAnon+ and the GOP/FoxNews cults have effectively merged to create a fully autonomous and separate reality insulated from the rest of us. While this alternate reality is actually superposed onto ours, for metaphorical purposes you can think of it as a continent, or more specifically a large tectonic plate.

Of course, in this metaphor, the rest of us are living on a different tectonic plate that butts right up against the alternate one. I’m sure you will remember from basic geology what happens at the border of tectonic plates. <crack>

The Dominion lawsuit was a small earthquake where the two realities collide, that will either be a pre-shock to something larger, or just an isolated tremor. But the longer tectonic plates go before there is a release of the tension between them, the larger the release will be — and the more destructive.

There is going to be an earthquake. It will either wake us the fuck up, or take us all down with it.

As someone who lives at the border, on the fault line between these realities, I can tell you that it feels very dark right now and the tension is perceptibly rising.

Some of this may have to do with work I’m doing now that I can’t talk about quite yet but involves the absolute worst of humanity and makes clear just how bad this can get. But I also see more and more open willingness of people living in the other reality to show you what they really think of you.

Here’s a thread about Brian Gamble who breached the Capitol with a QAnon backpack that said “KILL THE DEEP STATE.” He recently started an “environmental services” company with Mary Flynn, Mike Flynn’s “I AM”/Pizzagate-specialist sister.

He’s a devoted digital soldier and a literal Hitler-stanning Nazi.

There is a big problem, and it lives and breathes inside the idea that what we really need to do is quiet things down, to be calm, stop being so alarmist and freaked out all time.

“Let the process play out.”

Well, the tectonics are happening one way or the other, and a long period of calm is not what we need now. My intention is to go straight to the border with a jackhammer and some dynamite. We need to break the tension — as soon as possible.
