Nazbol Planet: How “Enemies of an Open Society” Pushed Us to the Tipping Point
“Third Rome — Third Reich — Third International”
In 1997, as co-founder of the National Bolshevik Party genocidal Russian propagandist Aleksandr Dugin published “The Metaphysics of National-Bolshevism” [.ru link] a pseudo-philosophical booklet rationalizing a party that combined elements of revolutionary communism and national socialism. The symbolism, which plagiarized directly from both the Soviets and the Nazis, made the concept quite clear.

Dugin’s idea for the party was that, metaphysically speaking, it was not for anything. Instead it was the ultimate reactionary movement. His mission was, as the very first line of the booklet says, simply:
“We are enemies of an open society.”
The second chapter of his booklet is sardonically titled “Karl Popper’s inestimable contribution.” Sir Karl Popper was a famous philosopher of science who wrote a book that described a world of people who want an “open society” — and its enemies.

His political thought resides within the camp of Enlightenment rationalism and humanism. He was a dogged opponent of totalitarianism, nationalism, fascism, romanticism, collectivism, and other kinds of (in Popper's view) reactionary and irrational ideas, and identified modern liberal democracies as the best-to-date embodiment of an open society.
If the phrase “open society” rings a bell, it’s probably not because of Popper’s philosophy, it’s probably because of one of Popper’s students, George Soros, who named his foundations based on “his ideals of an open society.”

Note that Soros began his philanthropy by educating Black South Africans during apartheid, a racist regime that Elon Musk, Peter Thiel and David Sacks all spent some or all of their childhoods in, and all, essentially, want back.
Soros, of course, is the ultimate avatar of evil to the right wing in America, a characterization that has been attributed to the fact that he’s Jewish, and correctly so, but it’s even deeper than that. It’s because Soros is the enemy of the “enemies of the open society” — the Nazbols’ ultimate target.
Note that during the same year Dugin wrote Metaphysics of National-Bolshevism, 1997, Dugin wrote Foundations of Geopolitics, a book that was written in conjunction with the Russian military, became required reading for Russian military intelligence, and formed the basis for Dugin’s philosophy of Eurasianism. The book has also penetrated into the American right.

The final chapter of Dugin’s booklet is the most chilling, because I believe it represents the core viral payload of the Russian project to destroy America during the last three decades.
Dugin presents “Third Rome — Third Reich — Third International” as the “dialectical triad” that represents his true goal, which is Moscow as the gleaming capital of an orthodox New Russian Empire stretching across Europe aka the “Third Rome.” The “Third Reich” of Nazism and the communist “Third International” — a not so subtle reference to the “International Jew” — would serve as two poles of the “dialectic” to manipulate in order to achieve the “one and indivisible Revolution.”
At the same time Dugin was writing his booklet on National Bolshevism, three immigrants from South Africa, each with national socialist tendencies were starting a company that came to be known as PayPal. Simultaneously, Donald Trump was partying with Jeffrey Epstein, had copies of Hitler’s speeches by his bedside, and had lots of connections to Russian intelligence.
The National Bolshevik Party was banned in Putin’s Russia in 2007 but Dugin had long since left it, in 1998. But the Nazbols never went anywhere. It is still Dugin’s underlying ideology, which is why his normalization in the media is so disturbing.
Orwell’s Nightmare: CNN Promotes Dugin
In 1936, George Orwell, a middling writer at the time, left his home in England to volunteer in the Spanish Civil War against the fascist Franco regime. He returned home in 1937 after being shot through the throat by a sniper.
As a perfect example of Dugin’s Nazbol “dialectic triad” in operation, the Atlantic published an article about Trump dutifully following in the footsteps of the Führer with his tariffs (the “Third Reich”), which represent an economic war on the communists (“The Third International”).
Meanwhile, the “Third Rome” in Moscow laughs and laughs.
It remains to be seen if this is the “last revolution,” as Dugin described it 28 years ago, but, for the “enemies of an open society,” it is certainly proceeding as planned.

Just now getting around to reading this. (Was very busy with the monthly newsletter that serves the 41-resident senior-housing community that is my final address. The newsletter is my last professional obligation as a near-lifelong [since age 16] working journalist: am its art director, editor, photographer, primary writer, and this month's edition was unusually long and complicated.) Apropos "Enemies," though not at all surprising, it is nevertheless profoundly alarming. It is also (more) irrefutable proof we are beset by a genuinely global, not national, campaign to destroy not just our republic, but every humanitarian gain our species ever achieved, literally as if Hitler lives on. Again, thank you for being a voice of resistance.
