We are living in truly historic times. I’ve been around for a while and the closest approximation to what we’re seeing is 2008, and in my view this election is exponentially more important.

We are in no way out of the woods, but the insurgency is struggling to stay above water and making desperate moves like adding compromised bear-murdering lunatic RFK Jr. to the team, as if it will help. The panic is real because, so far, they have no answer for Kamala and Tim. None.

The DNC and the campaign truly surprised me this week. A month after an entirely new ticket was formed, they pulled off a nearly flawless execution both politically and psychologically. Joy can’t be faked and it is absolutely the antidote to what ails us. Whatever gripes people had were completely overwhelmed by a sense of healing, and a gut-check about what it really means to be an American.
