That day, I had nothing but files to transfer because I was being transferred to a new team and had to assign out my cases with detailed notes. So, did something I never do. Kept a TV on CNN and muted it so I could look up every once in a while to see if anything was happening.
My shift started late that day so the ballot count session was just starting when I started working.
It was quiet at first and I thought maybe I was wrong. I focused on the work and about 45 minutes later, looked up and saw people scaling
The wall to get into the capital . I’m thinking 💭 “Holy $hit!!! They are attempting a coup!!!”
Sometimes I think what if we had social media training. If it’s the billion dollar psyop machines ruining everything then shouldn’t people get some training? Not for fun but for this war. Most of us are doing it wrong & probably giving more fuel to the fascists or we’re just not on it at all. Think about if we all knew how to be effective & participated. We could win. People would first have to get over themselves though 😂. Room of Requirement lol. We could run it like Amway or Mary Kay. Once you complete it then you recruit others & move up. Oh wait. That sounds like a cult. It could work though 😄.

Hopefully to help you pay the cost of the lawsuit. You’ve done so much for a democracy and then to hear everything that’s happened to you, I’m truly sorry.

So Flynn chickened out, but the judge punished you anyway? How is that possible? That's insane. And it isn't right.
If a lawsuit is dropped, supposed insults or defamation cease to exist, regardless of what you said. If supposed insults or defamation cease to exist, the cost of making them should cease to exist. If the cost of making them should cease to exist, you should be compensated. If you should be compensated, the people who imposed that cost should cough up.
I know I'm kicking open doors here, but still. This is outrageous.
Can you escalate to a higher court? I know that takes money. Tell me if you decide to go that road. I've contributed before, and I'll do it again...

I was a victim of 'lawfare' that was the result of an immoral property developer(a very Trumpian character, I might add) suing a community association of which I was a member and a director. It was a defamation lawsuit involving 18 co-defendants, hundreds of news articles and the community association's newsletters. At that time, the Province of BC did not have any anti-SLAPP legislation (it does now). The lawsuit went on for over 10 years. In the end, we got out lawyered and it cost us the home that I built with my own two hands. Notwithstanding the personal loss, I know I did the right thing, and time has borne that out. I can look at myself in the mirror and feel no shame whatsoever. Some things are worth more than money. Believe me when I tell you this, Jim: I feel your pain.
Get this: Initially, all the Defendants were represented by the Sierra Legal Defence Fund, who were trying to advance anti-SLAPP legislation in BC and Canada. The Plaintiff then alleged that their calling his suit a 'SLAPP Suit', (which they did in several press conferences), was itself defamatory. His lawyers then filed a defamation suit against our legal representation, making them 'a party to the litigation' and ... conflicting them off the record, leaving us unrepresented. Then the real intimidation started. Sound familiar? That play was then franchised amongst the filers of intimidatory lawsuits on a national scale and set back and weakened the passing of anti-SLAPP legislation for years. I could go on ... but I'm sure you catch my drift.
The judge was offended ? 🙄 He should really get some thicker skin. I always hated that certain big accounts would avoid you because of the trolls.That should be a reason to do the opposite & raise your work up. That’s ok. History will validate it all. You’ve given me courage & clarity over the years. Thank you!!
Disgusted by this judge’s ruling as it shows exactly how corrupt our legal system is. A judgement for you would have halted frivolous lawsuits, which waste the court’s time and taxpayer money, but now those who speak truth to power will think twice. At least that’s what they hope. Discouraging, but we must continue to call out traitors, and Flynn is one of the worst.
Here's another point I don't understand. Maybe it's because I'm not an American. Thank goodness! If somebody sues you and forces you to seek legal council to defend yourself, then decides to drop the case entirely, why are you not allowed to charge him to pay the costs he forced on you to defend yourself because of him suing you in the first place??? For a country with more lawyers than you can shake a stick at, how come there aren't actual laws to protect people who are suing you frivolously just to break the bank of you? I do pay a subscription for your content and I'm so sorry I can't stretch to a "go fund me" but I think that American laws are seemingly made to be broken without consequence. Little dicktator has been doing this his entire life. He sues and makes you run out of money and claims a victory. Your laws are shit!
What a rotten judge! It is so outrageous that the judge ruled you should have to pay the legal fees necessary to protect yourself from having used your freedom of speech to truthfully share that Mike Flynn was radicalizing so many Americans through 1) numerous lies in order to persuade them to villainize and act against the Democratic Party and its politicians, our U.S. government, and against so many other fellow U.S. citizens and residents, and through 2) white supremacy indoctrination (a key component of Nazism!) and the encouragement of violence which directly led to violent speech and attacks on our U.S. Capitol Building, Members of Congress, capitol police and many other people and institutions. We the People whom you worked so hard to warn and protect can and should help pay your legal fees in solidarity together and I, for just one, will find ways to contribute soon to your DonorBox and GoFundMe accounts and by continuing to subscribe to your very important Substack publication. You are not alone, Jim, and so many of us appreciate the real patriot that you are vs. those who are hiding their real authoritarian agendas which are unconstitutional and evil!
