Polio Is Bad Zoom — Noon PT / 3PM ET

We’re entering a zone of insanity never seen in American history. As I wrote, the unthinkable is here, an administration that wants to kill and maim our kids.

RFK Jr., who will be in DC next week pitching himself to be Health and Human Services Secretary to GOP Senators, wants to destroy the basic fabric of vaccine protection we’ve all benefited from for many decades, including the polio vaccine — which is considered one of the greatest triumphs of medical science in the 20th century.

Incredibly, democracy-assassin Mitch McConnell has been the only person on the GOP to push back, and only because he personally still suffers daily from the effects of childhood polio.

As I watch Elon Musk’s wealth swell more than $200 billion, just since election day, in support of a regime that wants to make polio great again, I become more and more convinced that there can be no political solution to this.

If kids start needing iron lungs again, and whooping cough comes roaring back, I can’t see any American with a spine just sitting back and taking it.
