Thank you for reviewing that massacre and its consequences —an excellent reminder of what the madman is all about.

It's become obvious that trump doesn't have a filter. I'm sure most of his life has been led that way. Unfortunately too many Americans who did have a filter, have not fought back against racism or sexism in any meaningful way so this is where they are. I can only hope that this liar in chief has woken you up to the fact. Already trump is attempting to bury truth and conversation as deep as he can. It's the NOT talking about it that has led to these issues festering. It was almost preordained that someone like trump would emerge eventually. He needn't be the nail in the coffin if people speak out today. Admit that war is wrong, admit that owning a gun is not going to make you safer, admit that if you don't take care of impoverished people they will turn to crime to feed and house themselves. What the USA could do with is a party that puts these issues front and centre. If the very rich are taxed fairly poverty would be wiped out, which in turn would wipe out petty crime. If gun ownership was only legal to those who needed it for their job, the killings would stop, especially the killing of children in their schools by, usually their classmates. Mental health care should be free to all who ask for help. Of course it probably won't happen because these biases have been baked in to American society for hundreds of years. But change always starts with the first step. TALK TO EACH OTHER! You'll be surprised by how you all want the same thing. There will always be oligarchs but their power is much less than yours if you stop ceding it to them!

Why must you always be right?

A huge thank you for this explanation of WTAF.

I was trying to put his “odd”, at best, “death’s door is opening a floodgate”, at worst, comments complimenting those who murder, control and experience joyless apathy and no self relief, upon consuming their own, though no surprise, as “strong”.

I can’t think of a “weakness” so profound and pathetic.

As always you have been the light on the truth and I’m immensely grateful.

Thank you, Jim.

Sometimes not knowing seems like a better choice until you realize that simply isn’t an option.

This is where I believe your honor to the facts to be indisputably the best if one feels an immense obligation not to remain ignorant or oblivious, but to “know”, “acknowledge”, “participate”, and “accept” those facts.

My quotation marks are just personal exclamation points however much people don’t like them.

I'm in good trouble already! It is liberating for the spirit, but life can become like a Clancy story when the state and its crusading trolls focus their hate on you... I noticed the Egyptian statutes on terrorism could be describing the actions of the current regimes of Israel and the USA - they are a good example of the DARVO you talked about in an earlier article. The fascists project all their sins onto one group or another, and use those "crimes" to justify oppressive policies on us, reversing the victims and offenders! Thanks for all your research, hard work, and courage! It is working, as Michael Flynn's and Kash Patel's lawfare cowardice demonstrates.

As we understand the behavior and psychology of him, it's been extremely difficult to see my Jewish friends give him even a shred of credit for the hostages' release. He doesn't do anything, himself; there are strategists in the government that do the work. He gets the credit, of course, but we know he didn't do shit himself. He does nothing for nothing. All the credit, none of the actual work.

Jim, powerful piece. I consider myself fairly well-versed on recent history, and I must admit I didn't know about the Rabaa Massacre until reading this. What a horrible regime there in Egypt. I knew it was bad, but it's truly evil. I will be at 2 No Kings rallies this Saturday (not simultaneously!). We must stand up and bear witness so that the darkness of Totalitarianism doesn't become rooted in the United States.

Holy Smokes?!! and what makes this even worse is that No one talks about the Palestinian People, and where they go from here. This was trump grandstanding once again and standing on the wrong side for the wrong reasons. Outstanding article, Jim, let's hope people are getting the message, and will reStack ASAP 🙏

The open letter is beautifully written; I only hope it and similar sentiments echo around the military. Somewhere there is a hotline for soldiers who feel they have been given an illegal order.
