In spite of Trump's obvious faults and threats, 15 million fewer votes were cast for the top two candidates than in 2020... I can only vouch for my own protest vote, but I think the elephant in the room is voter distaste for both of the corporate candidates and for the abominable genocide(s) which both major parties continue to support!
My canadian friends have spent winter months in panama. She says people are nice and healthcare is cheap. I cant believe whats happened. This is the last chapter of my life and trump has already ruined too much of my retirement. Also Mexico m8ght not be so bad.
I'm glad you will be writing more on Substack. This morning I felt so shocked, but not surprised. For a little bit I lost interest in everything--even living. But hearing from my online peeps like you is helping me recover...a bit. At 73 I am so disappointed that I will never see a woman president or perhaps ANY president again. It's far beyond depressing. There were bomb threats called into multiple voting sites in key states, WI, GA, PA, MI and into key counties in those states. Fulton county GA had multiple voting sites targeted that had to be temporarily closed to be searched. When the local officials asked the courts for extended voting hours to make up for the closure, the RNC objected.
The bomb threats have been traced back to Russian domains.
Oh Jim! I thought about this. I don’t know anyone who has tried as hard as you did. I’m shocked and concerned for your and other’s safety. At a loss right now. Trying to process what happened. It really makes no sense.
I am with you. I, too, will continue to speak out and to do what I can -- be that marching or just bearing witness. If they come for you, I do everything I can to protest.
Is there a concerted effort to relocate to another platform? I don't want to lose track of so many people who share the same values! I woke up with 50 less followers and feel like people are leaving without saying where they're going.

We read of their attempts to suppress the vote. Would we be hearing more complaints if that was a factor?
