Commonwealth is the key to Locke. It is more than identity and memories. It is literally the wealth of the nation held and produced in common. Obscene concentration of wealth robs the people of their well-being and, thus, their freedom. Thomas Paine called common wealth common sense.

Absolutely brilliant. I have always felt like the revolution will come bc of something we can’t possibly picture right now. Because that’s how these things happen.

That damn dress. 😂 At least now we can use the analogy for something meaningful lol. And that crowd of disgusted people who think the world has gone mad & that any action is a set up or useless or too much work …..it’s a big ass group. Once they get activated -it’s on. We saw it with the George Floyd rallies & then with Kamala. Facts like you lay here gives those checked out folks hope & motivation. We just gotta get it to em! 🙏

Stanley Milgram’s 3 degrees of separation in US = we all know people who can reach disillusioned former trump voters with well framed info to shake them out of cognitive dissonance. They are the people with the standing to start awareness & change of perspective, change of heart to start in R states, pressuring state legislatures to stop support of fascist fed action or face recall election. Congress is shielded from recall by the constitution. <> Not a direct method but it’s necessary to win the hearts .& minds of people thoroughly brainwashed by the matrix of tribal identity reinforcing lies that is woven through and around them. We need emotionally resonant stories that illustrate how & why they’ve been manipulated to believe lies that are hurting them.

We know what must be done. We know why. As for who, it is by anyone who is willing and able. The question of when has also been answered by plain evidence. It was some yesterdays ago. Perhaps, it even begun on Day One when an insurrectionist swore an oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution as President and then commuted or pardoned all criminals involved in that very same insurrection. Remaining questions are how and where. Do we march and mass like ants relentlessly and persistently? Or by some other way? Let's say, for example, by strikes. Well then, how and where? If coming together in a procession of millions, then where do we meet? In DC? The outer perimeter of the White House? At the Lincoln Memorial? At the Washington Monument? Until these questions are answered definitively, how is it possible that what is called for can materialize? The same calls to a general solution may be made over and over; but if there is no plan for specific actions that can be followed and pursued until success is obtained, a state of suspension continues and further damage occurs.

There was a time during the presidential campaign when Project 2025 began appearing in polling data and it was unpopular. Trump saying he’d never heard of it should have perked up the ears even of the anesthetized show runners of the Harris campaign bent on consulting themselves into oncoming traffic as long as it was in the middle of the road. It was another opportunity squandered. As of yesterday Project 2025 is reportedly 47% complete. The Guard’s in the streets perhaps because there might be some objection to dear leader declining to vacate the gilded eagle’s nest—ever. If voters could be shown Russell Vought’s/the GOP’s 2025 Plan in black and white manifesting in terrifying detail in front of their eyes and in their streets exactly as written the resistance could become a force MAGAand the snivelers in corporate media might have to alter their hellish trajectory to accommodate. We had (have) the best candidate(s), the best ideas, solid experience, patriotism, the will to do the most good and, sadly, lethargy and laryngitis, conditions that can now become fatal. The independent journalism, discussion, ideas and energy generated in this community and other platforms and affiliations will have to fuel the fight for American democracy with the hope that numbers and actions increase dramatically and that the Dem. Party pros commit far more energy, time and financial commitment for wall to wall creative messaging. Newsom’s razor trolling is just a sample of what could be imagined and created.Party leadership must be drastically changed, no time to waste. Schumer can’t be trusted with another opportunity for spelunking when presented with a Republican”compromise.”Chuck loves to cave.

Americans have never liked bullies: it shouldn’t be a heavy lift to chip away at the paralyzing belief that a disintegrating imbecile having serial tantrums and his health insurance-scrapping party are too powerful to stop. Their cruel and mindless marauding are destroying our laws, culture, traditions, peace, and ability to

recover. Voters surely recognize the deadly peril of being steered off a cliff by a self-identified traitor who

embodies weakness. Not a leader, but like Speaker Renfield, a subservient worm in a Russian nesting dolls collection. Democrats must win the House and Senate in 2026…the whole world insists. Can we make the press do its job?

I have come to believe that Schumer's actual value as an asset of the oligarchy is in caving to the right, right after a righteous battle.

Why do you think there are troops in DC at this moment, with Chicago and New York next? The fascists are prepared.

They now have a list of people brave enough to come outside and voice opposition. I'm on the list too. They intend to silence the people on the list, maybe in a terrifying example for the rest of the silent, like Kristallnacht. They are using fighting words and I accept the challenge with my own words, because the alternatives are violence and a march to Gaza. Silence is acceptance of slavery.

Any resistance that hurts them will be criminalized or taken offline for terms and conditions violations. Jim is such a power because he is courageously in their face with facts, and even science lately. If the regime continues, Jim and others will be silenced here. Marc Andreesen is on Substack's board. For now, Jim is a source of data for the fascists: all of us reading this are on their lists, as well as our friends and family, and when they have all they need from us they will flip the switch off. Inevitably, the congress that allowed this will have to be physically removed and replaced, either by elections we trust but verify, or by multitudes of actual people that cannot be censored or deleted.

Bounce with it? When financial markets plummet so fast that the only way left is up, they expect a "dead cat bounce" that even a 5th grader could profit from. I think the regime will push us down, group by group, with all that their algorithms have, until we hit a point where the people have had enough and unite in defiance of their own government. Like the cat that comes out of fhe box alive. Unless we are so damaged by then that we can't bounce back.

Didn't have the $7 to splurge on this to comment on your piece, but I felt it imporant enough to do so to share this with you and your readers Mr. Stweartson (you're a credit to your name):

Ill fares the land, to hastening ills a prey, Where wealth accumulates, and men decay...

At the close of the Constitutional Convention on September 17, 1787, as Benjamin Franklin left the hall in Philadelphia, he was asked, “What kind of government have you given us, Dr. Franklin?” He replied: "A republic, if you can keep it."

It is, was, and will always be our job to keep the government in check. If we do not, then we will end up back at square one and become slaves once again. No one is going to come to our rescue... except ourselves.

So with that in mind, if in coming here you've never heard of the following:

Asset Forfeiture, NSLs, ALEC, AIPAC, TPP

FISA Courts, Congressional Insider Trading

Judicial Standing, Deferred Prosecution

Parallel Construction, Stingray Devices

EO 12333, XKeyscore, COINTELPRO

Pentagon Papers, Gary Webb

Operation Mockingbird

Operation Northwoods

Operation Paperclip

Project Monarch

FASAB 56

MKUltra

Or worse, you've heard of them but can't be bothered to care, then like it or not, you are one reason among many that we are on a one-way flight straight to Hell. To the corporations and their puppet politicians, your ignorance and apathy are worth more than all the slaves in China. Because it is your indifference that enables these bottom feeding cockroaches to thrive in the dark and rob you of your wealth and liberty.

This is not political, it's universal. Both of the puppet parties you think you get to choose from every two years are completely infected by blanket webs of corruption and have long ago mortgaged their allegiance to their corporate masters. And what these leeches need more than anything to survive and thrive is a stupid, apathetic populace with red tags on their ears who will lap at their feet and believe every lie they feed them, or worse, are too busy staring at their smart phones to even care that they're being lied to.

The natural state of humanity is to slide into slavery and conflict. Our American bulwark against that decay was built by the blood, sweat, tears, hard work, and personal sacrifice of countless millions. These people gave everything to build the pillars of justice that protect and sustain you, and it is your responsibility to give something back and sacrifice a little in order to maintain those pillars and pass them on to the next generation. Anything less is a betrayal to those who broke their back to build the structure you are now standing on. So put down your Facebook and start paying attention to the things going on around you before that structure crumbles to nothing beneath your feet and you become a slave once again.

Remember, a nation of sheep breeds a government of wolves and you get more of what you tolerate. So turn off your Goddamn TV, turn on your mind, and get out there and stop tolerating it before you wake up one morning robbed of your remaining liberty and you no longer have a choice.

Someone far wiser than I once pointed out that: 'Power without oversight is the fastest route out of a democracy'. Your responsibility then, is to render that oversight.

Joseph de Maistre said: 'Every citizenry has the government they deserve...'

And finally, to the Christians among us: "God only helps those who help themselves."

I've created an article with some solutions here:

There really is no other way than watching that "Fearful Master" like a halk, lest the government wolves circle.
