Social Media Parallels Authoritarian Cult Techniques

“Social media” as we know it was conceived and financed by anarcho-capitalist billionaires who believe they should control what we think.
Peter Thiel, a man who said freedom and democracy are incompatible and funded the creation of Pizzagate and QAnon, gave Zuckerberg his first check before bringing in billions of dollars in Russian money.
Jack Dorsey is a member of the “Dark Enlightenment” — a faction of the neo-reactionary movement that wants to dismantle liberal democracy in favor of a quasi-feudal system. No, really.
Elon Musk, a founder of the PayPal Mafia, and a major influence on Dorsey for years, has become increasingly unhinged as his own anarchist ideology comes forward as well. Now he wants to buy Twitter. That cannot be allowed to happen.
The “internet” is really just a bunch of computing devices networked together, in much the same way a “baby” is just a bunch of neurons networked together at first. As we all know, the environment a baby grows up in determines in large part how it will behave.
Unfortunately, this baby was raised by ultra-rich sociopaths who were, to say the least, a bad influence, and wired its brain to be weaponized against itself.
