There are downsides to being a psychopath
This is one of the most incredible displays of incompetence, narcissism and sheer stupidity in American business history.
In a few weeks, Musk has forever ruined an asset that he just paid $44 billion for, exploded the myth he created around himself, and pissed off hundreds of millions of people that he was trying to influence and monetize.
I mean, even for the bad guys this is all just terrible news.
The fundamental problem is that Elon Musk is a cult leader and a con man, not a business person. He’s been handed everything in his entire life, starting with Daddy’s blood emerald Apartheid money, and constructed a simulation of himself that has been accepted by the media for decades without question.
His entire backstory is bullshit. He never invented anything himself and was handed the keys to build SpaceX by Putin’s Congressman Dana Rohrabacher.
But he doesn’t realize that his simulation isn’t real anymore. He’s surrounded by so many of his own lies he that he can no longer see through them to reality.
He wants you to think he‘s a pirate.
But he is just a fucking idiot.
Here are some details about that.
Look, losing a major communication platform is a bummer. And it’s easy for me to be happy about this since Twitter banned me almost a year ago. But this thing was never designed to help humans, it was always designed to influence and hurt them when necessary.
