Technocracy should scare us all no matter your political views. Once you take away people's rights to believe whatever they want then we are all doomed. I don't think technocratic weirdos' should be silenced anymore than anybody else in society but with a caveat, that what you believe in should not harm indiscriminately anybody who chooses not to believe. Live and let live is a motto I have always subscribed to. I know some people think we should protect people from themselves, yet that means, like religious zealots think, that they need saving! Why is it necessary to SAVE somebody who doesn't want to be saved? We should combat their negative aspects with positive ones. The "what if" it was your child that had been raped by grown men for example. Wouldn't you want revenge? Justice? Of course you would but that's why you create laws to protect the harm others can do to you. Not what you do to yourself! I think educating the young from their earliest years about "life" will accomplish more than shielding them. You won't always be there when someone wants to harm them. Teaching them to take care of themselves and also to care for others in their circle will be a more profound lesson. It's the teachings of hate and division that made Musk's grandson Elon the way he is. If he been brought up differently he may not have gotten this way. The same goes for trump and all people who wish to cause harm to elevate the inadequacies of their own lives. There will always be narcissists like trump and musk but if we know what it is they cannot control you. Of course these people may use brute force like they did in apartheid South Africa and other lands. The world as a whole should condemn such practices loudly to stop it. Not give the choices of "what about-ism" that they seem to think justifies their actions.
