They called out the National Guard on Vietnam war protesters in the 60s. It didn't end well.

The orange clown can't find any criminal aliens because they are deported whenever they are caught breaking the law. Instead, he's inciting violence by picking on the most vulnerable. The only moral response is to resist.

Sorry Jim and for all people in LA: you said during a zoom call you were safe in California. I hope so and I hope the same for everyone. I’m catching up after sleeping.

Find out where those Blackhawks came from - there's a base, and a command and a commanding officer who can be called out on that. Otherwise they might have belonged to the Prince of Darkness.

Same with the munitions - trace them.

Newsom's collaboration by inaction makes him unqualified as a presidential candidate ever.

Newsom is a huge disappointment. The US needs Cali economically more than Cali needs us, why doesn't he act like it?

Because he, like all DNC operatives, are Vichy collaborators and have been for years and years.

Th DNC is totally compromised and Borged.

Trump is salivating at the prospect of declaring a state of emergency. He is impatient to show off “his” military might, in California, the state he hates.

The train loads of army equipment arriving in DC for Trump’s birthday parade next weekend are extreme. This is reminiscent of Russia massing forces on Ukraine’s border, on the whims of the OTHER mad dictator Putin. Allowing Trump to inundate the nation’s capitol with the military he commands, may turn out to be the gravest error ever made by America. Trump’s third-world style authoritarian ambitions cannot be denied or downplayed. This threat is ominous and can’t be taken lightly.

Exactly, I had the feeling to see Russian tanks going to the front. I’m in England, went to bed at 4am and I’m catching up. I saw an account that I follow on X being extremely happy that the Blackhawk had landed. He’s Jewish and lives in LA. I’ll dig deep on this topic: I have the feeling that he’s too polarised and religious to see what is actually going on.

I'd say you got it all exactly right. The real provocateur here was Trump who unnecessarily sent in tanks and military personnel to "assist ICE." But the very act of sending in a couple of tanks with soldiers was a strategic provocation. People appalled by Trump tend to underestimate his manipulative abilities. And his underlying intentions and overt strategies that seem something other than they are. A certain set of skills honed to compensate for obvious learning disabilities. Instead of getting caught up in overt Trump, people need to see the not-so-hidden motives behind his every action. How he got Christians and others to join MAGA to vote for him. Strategic pretense and manipulation. To the not quite MAGA true believers--you've been had. And so will the American people be if we don't keep standing up to him now. I was in China during Tian-an-men. The first soldiers sent in believed what the students told them and refused to attack the students. The ruthless elements in the Party (some were also persuaded by the honest intentions of the student and the one in the triumverate top 3 at the time who went to the square to speak directly to the students was quickly under house arrest and no long one of the keading6 top 3. But we have different structures in America. We can meet Trump in many levels within our legal and Bill of Rights structures as well as economic structures as well as exercising First Amendment rights. A lot can be done here in addition to protests. Hate is their answer, not ours. Rather than dismissing Trump as odious and idiot, we need to see him for the dangerous person he is. Otherwise, we'll end up in a cross fire between military vs. military and not only state vs. national military. As the oath of the military is to the Cobstitution, not the Commander in Chief. So, if this escalates further, we need to be ready with a multi-purposed approach using every available instituition and original foundation of an already eroded but not yet gone democracy.

Exactly as I reasoned watching L.A. news this afternoon.

He's after the excuse to gain/impose/pursue increased Presidential powers.

It's the Hitler playbook. Almost too transparent. Except for true believer MAGAs.

Yes, Jim, we had them here in Long Beach at three different locations. This is a dream come true for Trump. He’s wanted the military on the streets for the longest time. It certainly didn’t take much for Gov Newsom to acquiesce. I suppose he has so much on the line right now with the Trump admin it appeared he went along. I wonder how long that will last.

Prep for next weekend’s June 14 protests. He’ll be rolling out the tanks in DC to celebrate the army but more so his birthday, all the while overcompensating for his small 🍄 junk and ignoring the irony that he dodged the draft five times due to cowardice/“bone spurs” and NO ONE in his miserable, sleazy, tacky family has EVER served this country militarily. This misplaced show of force in LA is a precursor to his fascist wet dream he’s got planned for next weekend.

Dream on. This is strategy and has been from Day 1. Were you around for Jan. O6 and what he did then to incite followers. It's a different kind of planned coup--through a declaration of "emergency" Presidential powers. A prelude to a different kind of declaration. Don't underestimate him. He may be the son who could never please his ruthless slumlord dad, but he's more than made up for that. World Emperor might not be enough to prove himself to dear old dead daddy, but his personal power goals are probably limitless. Melania is held in line already by a prenup such that she'll lose her son if she leaves him. Art of the deal, indeed. If we don't stop him, however,I trust the Chinese will. I'd prefer democracy to come alive as a governing principle myself. Not a fan of any ruthless regimes, however smart they may be compared to our very own "Great Leader."
