The Butcher of Syria is Now in Charge of Putin’s Genocide in Ukraine
He’s also responsible for bombing a train station that killed 52 people
Aleksandr Dvornikov has been put in charge of the invasion of Ukraine. He was in charge of the Russian operation that murdered countless civilians in Syria with chemical weapons and carpet bombing.
He has also been named as the man responsible for bombing refugees at a train station in Donetsk.
Appointing a man who would do this to run his invasion says everything we need to know about Putin’s plans.
We have to start thinking about Putin as a version David Koresh, a true believer whose malignant narcissism and totalist ideology caused him to believe anything he did was biblically justified.
Putin has put Russia in a position like the Branch Davidians were in — desperate, isolated, and even more radicalized. Koresh was willing to allow himself and his flock to be incinerated when he didn’t get what he wanted. Will Putin?
