How Liz Cheney’s influence misdirected the investigation to the fall guy
Can we all agree Donald John Trump is not a guerrilla warfare / PSYOP mastermind capable of executing a violent insurrection of the US Capitol all by himself? If so, the January 6th Committee (J6C) misled America and failed in their mission to protect us from all enemies foreign and domestic.
Trump was the mouthpiece and the puppet, he did not plan or execute the near capture of Mike Pence and Nancy Pelosi. He did not single handedly prevent the peaceful transition of power, albeit, by a stroke of luck, only briefly. The J6C focused on Trump for a political goal — one that happened to line up with likely presidential candidate Liz Cheney.
The J6C failed to explain the role of Putin and his American allies Mike Flynn, Roger Stone, Erik Prince, Steve Bannon and countless numbers of their operatives.
Worse, the J6C actively participated in a cover up, wittingly or not, concerning the Pentagon‘s involvement in the coup, before, during and after 1/6.
The J6C swallowed whole the lie that there were people at the Pentagon with “genuine concerns” and failed to recognize that “the authority to deploy the National Guard” had been seized by Acting Secretary of Defense Chris Miller in a memo two days before 1/6.
This is equivalent to the outrageous lie put out by the Capitol Police that there was no “surveillance or reconnaissance” or anything “suspicious” by Congress members, including Rep. Loudermilk, who had a large group of MAGA-hatted chaos operatives and propagandists taking video and pictures of the underground tunnels and hallways on 1/5.
When parts of the government are covering up for themselves whether Congress, the Capitol Police, or the Pentagon, especially in a Democratic administration, we have reached a dangerous place.
There was also no mention of foreign involvement or Defense Department corruption, including Secretary of the Army Ryan McCarthy and his henchman, Mike Flynn’s brother Charles, currently commanding 90,000 troops in the Pacific, who ensured the Capitol would be undefended.
No mention of Putin’s direct involvement in supporting the people behind the insurrection, or the fact that the entire operation benefits Putin in the first place.
The actual “mastermind” of the insurrection, Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Mike Flynn was relegated to tut-tutting about how many times he took the Fifth Amendment concerning basic tenets of democracy. No explanation of his primary role was given, no explanation of QAnon and its role, or even Flynn’s relationships to the Proud Boys and Oathkeepers who were indicted on Seditious Conspiracy.
When all was said and done, this was the Committee to Blame Trump. That is not only disappointing, it’s ahistorical, and incredibly dangerous. America and the world deserve to know what really happened.

"no explanation of QAnon and its role" No shit, my hope J6C's work would include a deep dive into the origins and role of QAnon turned out to be in vain. It seems almost painfully obvious that it was an attempt to create a quasi religious cult around the person of DJT, a kind of prerequisite for any fascist dictatorship.
Well said! This is outrageous, and we should not let it slide. The fundamental threat is still there, led by Putin, Flynn, Rupert Murdoch and their many allies. Establishment Republicans want to pin all the blame on Trump, since he's no longer useful to them and actually threatens them; but, they definitely do not want to lose the psyop/media machine that Flynn, Bannon, Murdoch et al. have built to manipulate people into giving "conservatives" political power. Democrats seem to have agreed to that in exchange for the criminal referrals, and possibly because Trump's henchmen destroyed nearly all of the evidence of what they had done.
How about organizing people to demonstrate everywhere Flynn appears? With informed, targeted trolling? Make it a problem for DoD and the Justice Department that they haven't done a thing to stop him.
