The Great Gaslighting: “This is just politics”
The failure to acknowledge the war guarantees we will lose it
Adapted from this thread:
The time I have spent over the last 2 1/2 years researching the roots of our collective psychosis has revealed not only the people who intentionally caused it, but the strategies and tactics they have used to cover for themselves.
Nearly all propaganda and psyops abuse language to deliver trauma or confusion as a payload rather than enlightenment or knowledge. A big part of the problem defending ourselves against this kind of psychological attack is that we don’t have the right language to talk about it. We feel it. We see it. But we only have old language to describe it. This is a flaw being weaponized by our enemies.
I’ve put some underused phrases in bold.
The missing link in our collective discourse is recognition of the full-scale psychological war being waged on our citizens by an enemy nation-state led by a psychopathic dictator.
The result of our failure to combat or even acknowledge an ongoing psychological warfare attack, is that the psychological warfare attack is succeeding.
For example, the “Twitter Files” is a pro-Kremlin psyop being executed by Elon Musk with the cooperation of elected insurrectionists in Congress. But our “fourth estate” dutifully reports on the propaganda, rather than the purpose of it or the damage it causes.
This failure to be honest about the simple, obvious reality that we are under psychological attack by Putin, and that numerous American citizens are helping him, leaves all of us in an alternate reality where our loved ones inexplicably turn into fascist zombies at random.
People around the world have been brainwashed, or to use more modern language, they suffer undue influence. This is was never an “organic” phenomenon. This is an intentionally designed process to capture our citizens and turn them against their own countries, neighbors and families.
Russia has been waging low-grade psychological war on the United States since the Tsars. The KGB (now FSB) has been doing it since the 1950s. But in 2016, the cold psychological war became hot. Putin used his assets in America to escalate it.
The theft of the 2016 presidential election was a direct result of a psychological warfare attack by an enemy nation-state in conjunction with American traitors — led by retired Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn.
This is the Big Open Secret. This is the elephant in the room that they don’t want you to notice or talk about.
In my view, part of the reason journalists and politicians don’t want to acknowledge that there is a real cognitive war being waged, is that to acknowledge it now means they have to acknowledge they have missed it for seven years.
I understand their dilemma. Nonetheless, they must face it and own it.
Unless we can be honest about the fact the we are under attack, we will remain defenseless to the trauma being intentionally inflicted and allow the resulting corruption to metastasize, deepen and solidify in the body politic.
If we do not break the silence, the silence will break us instead.

It’s also important to remember that the treason of the Republicans is longstanding. Easy for people to forget or dismiss things like elected Senators and Representatives flying to Moscow on July 4, 2018 to “take a knee” before Putin and his cronies. As reported on July 5, 2018 in the American Independent:
“Seven senators — John Kennedy (R-LA), Richard Shelby (R-AL), Steve Daines (R-MT), John Hoeven (R-ND), John Thune (R-SD), Jerry Moran (R-KS), and Ron Johnson (R-WI) — and one House member, Kay Granger (R-TX), are all in Moscow over the Fourth of July holiday this week for talks with Russian lawmakers and officials, according to reporting from the Washington Post, NPR, and investigative reporter Julia Davis.”
Looking into the abyss
Greetings Jim:
Next week around this time, there will be a protest march in Washington DC against military actions orchestrated by the United States government. It is named Rage Against the War Machine, and while with a good and reasonable cause, it is a coalition of some differing political ideas. At least, it should be when you consider some of the speakers scheduled to appear Tulsi Gabbard, Rep. Dennis Kucinich, Dr. Cynthia McKinney, Col Ann Wright, Chris Hedges, Jimmy Dore, among others. However, among the sponsors of this rally is the Libertarian Party, which has grown more conservative in the ensuing years. We have also been seeing a few Republicans go against the idea of military spending. As you know, I am against the idea of military conflagrations as the sole solution to issues on geopolitical matters. At the same time, though I am in favor of such matters like Ukrainian independence and the need to remove Vladimir Putin from Russian leadership; I do feel that being in full support of any potential United States direct involvement in Ukraine will result in direct military/nuclear war with Russia.
I am sure you feel the same way. Which is one reason the Democratic Party needs to discuss peaceful alternatives to Ukraine matter, along with current issues including the now 5 satellite balloons being brought down. I say this because we are now losing the narrative of being a political party full of ideas on peace and deals and negotiations. It was not this way decades ago, when fellow Democrats were willing to stick their necks out against the “war” of “terror. "And I understand that it is not the primary issue facing Americans today. Yet we do face elections this year and next. And from what I remember in all my years; the candidates who espouse anti-war rhetoric and proposals, real or even imagined, will win elections. Not always, yet quite often. Granted, it did not work for the Republicans in recent years when they attempted to paint Donald Trump as some sort of peace arranger with the not ironclad “Abraham accords.” Their protestations be ignored when mentioning China, as we all know. Indeed, the Democratic Party’s willingness to not go to war with China is a reason President Biden got elected in 2020. This has helped us quite immeasurably.
What we do not want to see is the admittedly localized Ukraine war be expanded if, in our collective lack of foresight, we allow NATO or some form of international body to come into Ukraine and violate the tenants of the expansion policies brought forth after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. We do that, and we lose a great deal of fellow Americans for years to come. What is worse is the Republicans who espouse anti-war rhetoric still are committed to their personal dystopia that will affect us all. It is not hyperbole to say that liberal egalitarian ideals and democracy are still on the ballots and in danger of forever being lost. I would say that reclaiming the anti-war and anti-imperial mindset and policies will only enhance the policies of the Democratic Party this year and in the years ahead. Please consider this proposal. We might not get another chance to get this corrected.
