Domestic terrorists should not go unchallenged

“LibsOfTikTok” is an account run by domestic terrorist Chaya Raichik. She has millions of followers across social media, including 3.4 million on the website formerly known as Twitter.

Her operation is simple and effective. She weaponizes anti-LGBTQ+ propaganda through the emotion of disgust. This is a very powerful feeling that can be converted into hatred and targeted at scapegoats.

Disgust is an incredibly powerful negative emotion, capable of inducing vomiting, panic, and rage. The sound evolutionary reason for our experience of disgust is that it helped keep us alive—by making repellent the tastes, sights, smells, and other sensations associated with death, rottenness, or toxicity.

This tactic was used by Hitler and the Nazis to persecute gays, Jews, Roma and numerous other “unclean” groups. Weaponizing this kind of propaganda leads to mass dehumanization, and ultimately, genocide.

Raichik finds “libs,” which is anyone that she deems to be abnormal, to mock and harass in public with a massive army of bots and fans. She dehumanizes them and encourages a mass orgy of hate to be directed at the target.

After targeting Oklahoma schools leading to bomb threats, a nonbinary student committed suicide after being targeted Raichik and her trolls. Incredibly, the Oklahoma school superintendent is using her as a consultant on what books to ban.

Raichik is not only unashamed of the reaction she gets and the harm she causes, she is delighted by it. It’s her goal. This is what a sociopath looks like.

Her record of inciting threats and violence against people is extensive. She has inspired at least 21 bomb threats:

Some Libs of TikTok posts have resulted in harassment against teachers, medical providers, children's hospitals, libraries, LGBT venues,and educational facilities, several of which received bomb threats after being featured on a post.^[29][30] Libs of TikTok posts regularly slur LGBT people, as well as those who provide mental-health services to LGBT youth and LGBT sex education to students, as "groomers". Its followers "routinely attack individuals whose content is shared", and several dozen incidents of online or real-life threats and harassment against a range of targets, including 21 bomb threats, have been linked to Libs of TikTok's tweets, especially those where Raichik singles out specific events, locations or people.

Chaya Raichik is a stochastic terrorist, meaning she radicalizes and targets people and then counts on random acts of intimidation and violence to reflect her hate.

Chaya Raichik is not just a social media terrorist, she is also being embraced by the darkest parts of the right-wing establishment, including Heritage Foundation, which created Project 2025, and the Council for National Policy (CNP).

When my colleague and friend, former Biden campaign security staffer Jackie Singh, pointed out that Raichik was soliciting people to spy on the Ohio school system and report back to her the details, I felt it was time to speak out.

For the last 48 hours or so, I have embarked on a project of triggering Chaya Raichik. By that I mean, getting her attention, and influencing her to share my message to her cultish fans. Needless to say, she delivered nicely. This is an ongoing effort to mock me, and I received thousands of messages about how I should get my “hard drive checked” and the like, but I was able to weaponize her 3.4 million followers against her.

To really drive home the message to Chaya Raichik, I recorded a video expressing my feelings about her. It received hundreds of thousands of views.

Then, in a move I could have only dreamed of, a very triggered Chaya Raichik put my video unedited on her timeline. This was total victory. The best I could have hoped for.

The goal of people like Chaya Raichik is to set the stage for violent right-wing suppression of LGBTQ+ citizens. It is extremely important that we the people of America do not let this go unchallenged. We must be allies, we must not back down. They will be coming for you and me next.

The good news is that I’ve seen numerous people step up and contribute to exposing Raichik, and I’ve met many people who’ve been pushing back on her hatred for years. I see a renewed fire and a desire to push back on this disgraceful, un-American behavior. It’s genuinely refreshing and it gives me strength that we can win if we keep taking the fight to them, instead of playing defense for the entire game.
