Trump to Unknown Soldier: “I have everything… God did it.”
Disgraceful has lost its meaning.
On Memorial Day, at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Donald Trump said this to commemorate the solemn occasion:
We're going to have a big, big celebration as you know, 250 years. In some ways, I'm glad I missed that second term where it was because I wouldn't be your president for that most important of all. In addition, we have the World Cup and we have the Olympics. Can you imagine? I missed that four years. And now, look what I have. I have everything. Amazing the way things work out. God did that. God did it. You know, I got the World Cup and I got the Olympics. The 250 years was not mine. I'd like to take credit. But I got the Olympics. I got the World Cup when I was president. And I said, boy, it's too bad. I won't be president. Then, look what happened. I turned out, and we're going to have a great time. We're going to have a great celebration. But most important of all is the 250th anniversary. That blows everything away, including the World Cup and including the Olympics, as far as I'm concerned.
After bemoaning “the last four years of hell” Trump finds a way to make the day about himself and proclaims his presidency is literally divine—“God did that. God did it.”
As a reminder, Donald Trump is a five-time draft dodger who said veterans are “suckers and losers” and “likes people who don’t get captured.” Nevertheless, he brags to a sea of crosses representing two-and-a-half centuries of sacrifice, about things he had nothing to do with—“And now look what I have. I have everything.”
Disgraceful has completely lost its meaning in America. And, let’s be real, Donald Trump has completely lost his marbles. The people around him are going to have to face it at some point.
Here is how he tried to pronounce “cryptologic.”
Trump’s obvious, systemic degeneration is not just being noticed in America. After Trump said Putin had “gone absolutely CRAZY!” Putin’s spokesman drily blamed it on Trump’s “emotional overload.”
Frankly, when Trump posts a wall of CAPITAL BONKERS like the below, it is hard to disagree, even with the Russians. I highlighted the only words that matter:
Finally, to make things super clear, Trump posted this about his attack on Harvard.
I wonder what “conservative” or “libertarian” thinker would have ever gone along with a statement like “have no fear, the Government will, in the end, WIN!”—that is, before Donald Trump came down the escalator. The party of “small government” sure has changed.
Well, I’ll say one thing for Donald Trump and the malignant shitshow he has transformed our government into over the last decade: I am far more of a “nationalist” than I have ever been before, and far more of a patriot. While America has always been imperfect, I‘ve always been proud of it. And on a day reserved for remembering the people who died to give us the chance to keep perfecting it, Donald Trump doesn’t make me embarrassed to be an American, he just makes me embarrassed to be in the same country as Donald Trump.
His attack on the Constitution; the disrespect for the fallen; the rank, open sewer of corruption; the racism, ignorance and stupidity—all of it just makes me want to grab a musket and head to Bunker Hill at this point. We’ve had despots and kings try to oppress us before. On this Memorial Day, we remember those who sacrificed to prevent us from being ruled by this exact kind of dictator.
