Why has trending topics been transformed into Elon Musk’s id?
Twitter is still a public company, accountable to its shareholders. Since Twitter agreed to do a deal with Elon Musk, however, it has been obviously and despicably manipulated to match his personal desires and predilections. They need to answer for this blatant corruption in corporate headquarters.
For weeks, Johnny Depp’s defamation trial against Amber Heard has been plastered and pinned to the top of “What’s Happening.” Nearly 100% of the tweets in these trends are disgusting, misogynistic abuse of an abuse survivor. I don’t care what anyone thinks of Amber Heard — NO ONE deserves to be treated that way. This is a paid, controlled smear campaign getting cooperation and amplification by a publicly traded company.

There is no other way to look at what’s happening at Twitter but that Musk is directly influencing the corporation to do his bidding — before he has the legal right to do so. “#TwitterExposed” is a Project Veritas operation designed to lower the stock price of Twitter so Elon Musk can buy it more cheaply. Jordan Peterson is a dangerous, racist propagandist that Elon Musk largely agrees with.
The amazing part of this to me is that no one is screaming about this. Musk is clearly paying for a defamation campaign in order to try to harass and intimidate witnesses and sway the jury. Those are actual crimes. And he is getting Twitter itself to amplify it.
Amber Heard has made accusations that Musk was abusive as well, so making sure she loses the case against his friend Johnny Depp is clearly in Musk’s personal and financial interests. This blatant behavior by Musk and Twitter to completely transform the narrative to meet Musk’s whims must be answered for.
Who is making the decision to pin abuse of Amber Heard to the top of “What’s Happening” for weeks on end?
Who is intentionally managing the trends to make sure everything you click on is a rabbithole to racism, misogyny and propaganda?
What the entire fuck is going on at Twitter? Someone needs to answer for this.

I tend to believe some of it is his manipulation with bots to make these trend. We already know he has those. And there's more than "Johnny's his friend," there's also the fact that he dated Amber and she's said he was just a rebound (paraphrased). So he could have a personal vendetta as well.
Regardless, he's manipulating and/or they're emphasizing things that impress him. And hilariously, a couple days ago, someone was chatting in a thread about how they couldn't see each other on Twitter for a while, but now that Elon has taken over to protect free speech, they can! And I had to tell them that the deal is on hold and he hasn't taken over. Their answer was, "Something something, Elon's influence then"... May the gawds help save us from this stupidity...
