Will I Get Sued by GamerGate Cult Leader Fred Brennan for Putting the Word “Nope” on his $5 Graphic?
Fred Brennan filed a DMCA complaint on me. I filed a counter notice. Now Fred has ten days to sue me. 🍿
8chan/GamerGate creator Fredrick Brennan sent me this email white knighting his dedicated blue check disinformation agent Mike Rothschild, after Mike refused to debate me on any subject. Fred included a graphic that he had made on Fiverr designed to mock the fact that I have pointed out Satanic influences on QAnon (and #RealBlueAnon).
In my response to him on Substack I included the graphic he sent and added the word “Nope.”
Fred then sent a DMCA notice to Substack to have it taken down which I equated to social media fascism. Fred and Mike’s disinformation cult #RealBlueAnon, got me banned from Twitter, and are now trying to get me banned from Substack:
So I filed a counter notice:
Fredrick Brennan is a notorious internet troll who started the website 8chan. He has been trolling me for over a year. This copyright infringement notice is inauthentic and designed to give me copyright strikes on my account. He does not like what I have to say. That is his right. It is not his right to abuse the Substack reporting system.
Fredrick Brennan sent me that image himself by email. I used the image in my reporting about him and the way he weaponizes social media, including reporting systems, to harm his targets. I also added text to the image to answer the question he asked me himself. It is clearly fair use.
Now, according to Substack, Fred has ten days to sue me or I get to put it back.
The below is a small part of the image which I am using in the context of reporting this story to show that I believe it is fair use. I redacted the faces so I don’t accidentally dox any cheap cartoon characters.
Come on Fred. Let’s dance.
