It’s easy to forget everything we’ve taken for granted

Saturday morning in Lake Tahoe. My first time away in a very long time.

This was the most American scene imaginable, the kind of beach that’s packed by 9:30AM with people shotgunning beers by 10. It was a glorious mix of every color, creed and gender, including many first-generation immigrant families — every person just as American as the next.

No one gave a thought to the differences between any of us. We were in a beautiful place in a free country, being with friends and family.

But this scene is exactly what the regressive forces assaulting the world hate. They see multiculturalism, gender equality and racial equality as degeneracy. They invent terms like “wokeness” and “cultural marxism” as euphemisms for white male supremacy.

Most of the people on this beach would not be welcome in the America being planned for us. We cannot take any of this for granted anymore. It has taken 250 brutal years to get to this point in the American experiment. We owe it to the next generation to preserve it.

I will be a little slower for the next couple of days but coming back hard. I refuse to be part of the generation that allowed the experiment to fail.
