The issue of H1-B visas was just one small crack that will reveal a chasm between the ideologies of MAGA on one side, and the “Dark Enlightenment” — which drives Musk, Thiel, Sacks, Marc Andreesen and the rest of the Silicon Valley broligarchy — on the other. This is traditionalism, embodied by people like Steve Bannon and Mike Flynn, versus the eugenicist techno-fascism of the PayPal Mafia.

These two ideologies cooperated for a few months to seize the presidency (again), but now they are positioning for how best to split up the winnings. The revelation by Errol Musk that his son’s entire Mars hoax is lifted from a sci-fi book by a Nazi rocket scientist called Marsprojekt, should tell you how far away Elon Musk & co. are from Joe Sixpack.
