My son and I rock out every morning while I drive him to school — we trade off as car DJ. I’ve heard “War Pigs” by Black Sabbath hundreds of times in my life but today was different. It hit me like a ton of bricks and got me pissed off, just as Ozzy intended.
Here are the lyrics to “War Pigs” — which is one of the best anti-war rock songs ever recorded. Ozzy correctly points out the role of corrupt military leadership, propaganda and brainwashing, and the sociopathy that enables it all — more than a half century ago.

HAHAHAHA!! WOW. I used to listen to this album. I knew it was an anti-war song because I was one of those kids who would write the lyrics down to every song I liked - no matter how many times I had to stop and restart the album or cassette. I was way too young to get the significance of the song, but I have 2 older brothers (one born in 1957) who were very influential when it came to Societal Issues and music. How true it rings today as you have pointed out. Good Stuff, Jim.
