HAHAHAHA!! WOW. I used to listen to this album. I knew it was an anti-war song because I was one of those kids who would write the lyrics down to every song I liked - no matter how many times I had to stop and restart the album or cassette. I was way too young to get the significance of the song, but I have 2 older brothers (one born in 1957) who were very influential when it came to Societal Issues and music.
