A Psychopath's View of the Holocaust
One clip to understand Flynn's psychology
Mike Flynn is a high-functioning psychopath, which means he is very good at mimicry. He’s able to feign almost any emotion despite feeling nothing because, like most psychopaths, manipulating the emotions of others is his specialty. But in this clip, he fails to even try.
Flynn talks about what was done to Jews as casually and robotically as he might call a football play because it doesn’t even occur to him that he should pretend to feel something. We’re just numbers to him and something to use to scapegoat and generate hate.
In the clip, Flynn says he went to the location where Jews were herded into trains and claims he would not have gotten on, despite the machine gun nests and the armed guards up and down the line. There are no emotions in his voice — no sorrow, no anger — except one, contempt.
Flynn is contemptuous of the Jews who were murdered in the Holocaust and criticizes them for getting slaughtered. Flynn will have no qualms repeating the Holocaust in league with Putin, except he will insist on making it bigger and better this time. LGBTQ+ people are their next target.
Flynn has no conscience, just ego. No heart, just hate. And he’s trapped — a most dangerous animal. There is nothing he will not do to prevent being taken into custody.

Here in the UK there has been dozens of Holocaust documentaries on (free to air) daytime TV, for decades. They all have interviews with witnesses/survivors. I’ve watched most of them, except a few that are too dark.
One of the main takeaways is that only a tiny minority of Jews knew they were going to their death. On the rare occasion a (fully aware) Jew was warning others at the train station, nobody believed them.
It’s a common RW talking point at the moment to say that civilians could have stopped the Nazi Blitzkreig in the nations that were conquered. This ignores the obvious fact that it took the armed forces of the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and Russia 5-6 years to defeat the Nazis.
