Absorbing the Blows

Hello friends, this has been a week. None of it is surprising, but none of it is easy.
The reality is that we’re in for a very dark era of history. Moving forward in this environment without being overwhelmed and paralyzed by the relentless and atrocious attacks on our values is hard, by design. The regime that seized power in America has no intention of giving it back and wants everyone to know it. This show of force is about submission. Sadly, that’s what they’re getting so far.
In my experience, stepping back to understand the forces at play, the motivations, and the end goal of the enemy is helpful. Depersonalizing something that affects you personally is hard, but seeing the game from the enemy’s perspective will give you better situational awareness which can be used for both better defense and offense.
What’s extremely clear to me is there has been a deal struck by a group of dictators and oligarchs to divide up the world.

Trump / PayPal Mafia take North America
Netanyahu gets Gaza for playing along
For example, here’s what Trump said about Gaza yesterday:
“I'd like Egypt to take people. I'm talking to General Al Sisi tomorrow sometime I believe. I'd like Egypt to take people. And I'd like Jordan to take people. You're talking about a million and half people, and we just clean out that whole thing. You know over the centuries its had many, many conflicts. And I don't know, something has to happen.
It's literally a demolition site, almost everything is demolished and people are dying there so l'd rather get involved with some of the Arab nations and build housing at a different location where they can maybe live in peace for a change.”
This is an open, shameless call for ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, and barely disguises his obvious desire to do construction and development on Israel’s new beachfront property.
This regime sees America not as a nation, but as a monarchical feudalist empire with the power to divide up the world as it sees fit. However, as I’ve written, there are several different motivations working together:
Trump sees transactions. “Great deals” that will come from seizing power, and the adulation that will result. He’s a carnival barker, nothing more.
Musk, Thiel and the PayPal Mafia want a technocratic, fascist slave state that will submit to fulfilling their dreams of a colony on Mars and recreating apartheid South Africa in America.
The “anti-communists,” the strain of “conservatism” that came out of McCarthy, and their theocratic allies like Opus Dei, want a white Christian ethnostate and a war with China.
Putin, Xi, and Netanyahu want to expand their empires and keep a grip on power.
These are very different groups that all saw an opportunity to work together to break America’s back once and for all. It remains to be seen if they were ultimately successful — but forewarned is forearmed and there is still fight left in us. I feel it.
