Biopolitical Darwinism: America Is Being Culled
Jim O’Neill, Peter Thiel and the elite plan to kill off the weak.
On Thursday, venture capitalist and libertarian extremist Jim O’Neill was summarily installed by HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Acting CDC Director after then-Director Susan Monarez—a Trump appointee less than a month on the job—was fired by RFK Jr. when she refused his “reckless directives.” When Monarez resisted, Trump himself stepped in to finish the job.
This was no ordinary replacement of a principled scientist with an unqualified crony, it represents an open declaration of war on Americans’ health. O’Neill, it turns out, is even more of a Peter Thiel creation than JD Vance. Jim O’Neill wants to rip apart the healthcare system and rebuild it as an engine for eugenics.
Jim O’Neill’s Career Is Peter Thiel
At the Seasteading Institute in 2009, Jim O’Neill said the healthiest societies would likely be living on floating cities in the ocean by 2030 and openly declared that people should be free to sell their organs:
“I'll demonstrate why the healthiest society in 2030 will most likely be on the sea.”
“In America's cartelized system, 11 people every day will wait for a kidney that could save their life, and there are plenty of healthy, spare kidneys walking around unused.”
Jim O’Neill went on to help create the Thiel Foundation to incubate startups that fit into Thiel’s antidemocratic worldview. In 2010, O’Neill co-hosted the Foundation’s event with Patri Friedman, a former pro-Poker player who founded the Seasteading Institute with Thiel’s $500,000 seed investment, and now runs the Thiel-funded Pronomos Capital, his dry-land version of seasteading: the “Network State.”
Friedman said:
“So seasteading is the entrepreneurial way to fix government. By competing with it instead of complaining about it. In a decade, they’ll progress to innovative designs based on oil rigs.”
In 2014, as COO of Mithril Capital, another investment company co-founded and funded by Peter Thiel, O’Neill said the FDA should legalize drugs as soon as the company says they’re safe and let people take them “at their own risk.”
“We should reform FDA so that it’s approving drugs after their sponsors have demonstrated safety and let people start using them at their own risk, but not that much risk of safety.”
Two years later, JD Vance joined Mithril Capital as a principal where he worked from 2016-2017—while he was writing and promoting his book Hillbilly Elegy. In 2019, Peter Thiel gave JD Vance $15 million to run for Senate and convert to Catholicism.
Mithril Capital invests in Thiel’s companies like nuclear-fusion startup Helion, and Thiel’s massive surveillance company Palantir—which is deeply embedded in the military, law enforcement and national intelligence apparatus of the U.S.
Foucault’s Biopolitics
French historian Michel Foucault wrote in Society Must Be Defended (1976) that while sovereigns used to rule by “take life, let live,” that has slowly been replaced by “make live, let die” through the emergence of what he called biopower.
“It is continuous, scientific, and it is the power to make live. Sovereignty took life and let live. And now we have the emergence of a power that I would call the power of regularization, and it, in contrast, consists in making live and letting die.
Year Zero: “Take Life, Let Live”
Perhaps the most extreme example in modern history of the sovereign “take life, let live” application of Foucault’s concept of biopower was Cambodian dictator Saloth Sâr, known as Pol Pot.
In 1975, after a bloody civil war, the Communist Party of Kampuchea (CPK) or Khmer Rouge took over the capital of Cambodia, Phnom Penh. On taking power, the Khmer Rouge declared “Year Zero.” The goal was to completely reset society, to return to an agrarian utopia, by erasing every trace of what had come before.
This included murdering the entire intellectual and professional class of the country, and destroying anything connected to the modern world or to history. Pol Pot wanted a complete epistemological reset—regardless of how many had to die to achieve it.

The Year Zero genocide largely took place in what became known as the Killing Fields. Among the first places to be targeted were the libraries, universities, hospitals, and any trace of scientific achievement. By 1979, of the five million survivors, there were less than fifty doctors left in the entire country.
“Make Live, Let Die”
The other approach to wielding biopower in Foucault’s model is “make live, let die.”

This is the approach that most modern governments take—regardless of their politics—when they want to encourage one group of people to grow, and another group to shrink. To shrink a group, instead of killing people in rice fields like the Khmer Rouge, you deprive the targeted groups of societal benefits, and you systematically make their life stressful, dangerous and unhealthy—you make the environment inhospitable. For the group you want to grow, you encourage them—or force them—to have more children and reward them for their biopolitical performance.

American Year Zero
Peter Thiel said last year that America in the 2020s was like Weimar Germany in the 1920s where “conventional ideas had failed” and it was a requirement to “look outside the Overton Window”—the range of acceptable public discourse from the political right to the left. In other words, Thiel believes America needs something unacceptable to most people.
This is, of course, what the Nazis thought: “It is for the good of the people that we purify the race.” It is the rationale for every atrocity: a person, or group, decides that they have some special quality that gives them the right to make life and death decisions for everyone else.
Deutsche Physik
The Nazis’ idea of looking “outside the Overton window” when it came to science was to invent their own. Two Nobel laureates in physics, Hitler loyalists Johannes Stark and Philipp Lenard styled themselves the “Führers of Physics,” creating “Deutsche Physik”—Aryan physics.
As Stark said:
“The scientist does not exist only for himself or even for his science. Rather, in his work he must serve the nation first and foremost. For these reasons, the leading scientific positions in the National Socialist state are to be occupied not by elements alien to the Volk but only by nationally conscious German men.”
Lysenkoism
At the same time that Germany was rewriting the laws of physics to match the Nazi genocidal ideology, a different dictator was reinventing biology to match his communist cosmology. Soviet biologist Trofim Lysenko, in searching for a way to rationalize Stalin’s policies, rejected genetics as a valid branch of science. This left the Soviets with a major self-imposed blind spot on their ability to understand science-based agriculture triggering famines that killed millions.
Despite this, at the meeting of the Lenin All-Union Academy of Agricultural Sciences of August 1948, the “peer review” of the meeting said:
“Genetics was fully defeated in August 1948… the session was personally directed by Stalin.”
It wasn’t until Stalin’s death in 1953 that genetics was reintroduced into the Soviet Union.
American Cosmism
Both Peter Thiel and Elon Musk have expressed a deep interest in Russian Cosmism—an occult space-religion born at the turn of the 20th century that combined Orthodox Christianity with elements of the occult, eugenics, and rocket science. Musk’s interest in Cosmism focuses on space and sees Earth, as Cosmist Konstantin Tsiolkovsky did “as the cradle for humanity”—meaning that Earth is just a disposable starting point.
A few months ago, Musk said “Humanity is a biological bootloader for digital superintelligence”—another indication of how little he thinks of real people.
This morning, Elon Musk tweeted that his political opposition is an “ideology that fails to reproduce itself” and “infects the minds of the children who do reproduce… It’s a vampire cult” and agreed that the “woke mind virus is a cancer.”
This is eliminationist, genocidal language—the dehumanization of an out-group as anti-life using a purely pseudo-scientific rationale.
Biopolitical Darwinism: Millions Dead is Not a Bug
The cold, hard reality is that Donald Trump, his Vice President JD Vance, the leaders of HHS, NIH and CDC, and the rest of the senior leadership of the federal government are in favor of mass death in the form of biopolitical darwinism. In Foucault’s model, the Trump regime is wielding biopower in the form of “make live, let die” by withholding food and medicine from foreign countries—which will kill upwards of 15 million just in PEPFAR and emergency food cuts. In America, by cutting a trillion dollars from Medicaid and SNAP, and throwing 17 million off health insurance, the regime is deliberately letting thousands die.
However, the actions of the regime around vaccines—the deliberate destruction of vaccine research programs, and the recent decision to pull the COVID vaccine from the market for anyone who isn’t “high risk” makes clear the regime is courting mass death from disease. Had this regime been in power last time COVID hit, we would have had hundreds of thousands or millions more deaths.
If a novel virus, or a new strain of COVID hits this winter, we will all be sitting ducks—millions would die in the first year because it would rampage unmitigated through the population. The decimation of the MRNA vaccine research alone could return us to the days of Spanish Flu—where we have no options but to watch our loved ones get sick and die for years.
The idea of social darwinism, that human life should be reduced to “survival of the fittest,” has always been promoted by those who have no concerns about survival themselves—be they an authoritarian government, or the elites that support one.
Jim O’Neill, Peter Thiel, JD Vance, Donald Trump, Elon Musk, RFK Jr. and the other elites who want to “make live, let die” millions of Americans truly believe the world needs to be culled. Moreover, they think they can get away with it because we’re too stupid to see it—or too cowardly to do anything about it.
Well, it’s one thing to be implementing racist policies, embarrassing us on the world stage, destroying our economy, and openly attempting to become a dictator. It’s quite another when they try to kill your kids.
To be sure, the deviance of this moment in history will not last forever. But how long and how far we have to descend into chaos, bloodshed and disease before we pull out of it is another question altogether.
It is my hope that the more people understand just how dark this is going to get if we do not put up a fight, the more people will take a stand—wherever that may be—and refuse compromise with this murderous, ignorant regime.

Great article. You're right on the money. We the common people are a drain on resources , and therefore disposable. Survival of the fittest can literally be interpreted as only the wealthy have a guaranteed right to survive.
While they deny the pending disaster of the climate crisis, the self-proclaimed elites build their luxury bunkers and beef up their private security, to ensure their continued prosperity, while hundreds of millions, perhaps billions perish from starvation and disease.
I'm so tired of hearing pundits debate whether or not we have reached a constitutional crisis. We are so far past that point. America is rapidly spiralling down the Democratic drain, and the UK and other countries are falling victim to the same nefarious concept of a false utopian society. While all our outrage is focussed on the puppets Trump and Vance, the true villains are licking their lips in anticipation of feasting on democracy's carcass.
Your continued complacency will be your downfall.
