In 1996, I saw a note on a Netscape forum. An LA company was looking for someone who could create a 3D VR game on the web for a Star Trek movie. No one had ever done it before — the web was just getting started then — and I was a beginner self-taught programmer. Nevertheless, as a lifelong Trekkie, I thought maybe I knew how and told them I could do it.
Six weeks later, a friend and I pulled it off, which was to my knowledge the first 3D game on the web. The game was a depiction of humans fighting off an invasion of the Borg, an aggressive transhuman collective connected through chips in their brains.
I tell this story because almost three decades later, I feel like this has come full circle.

In the past few months, I have been focusing on Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, and the influence of the “Dark Enlightenment” because I believe they have emerged as a far more serious danger than Donald Trump. Elon Musk quite literally wants to create the Borg, chips and all.
I note that Silicon Valley oligarch Marc Andreessen, the founder of Netscape, is now 100% Bro-Borg.
The Bro-Borg know their ideas are incredibly unpopular, not to mention actually evil, so they cornered the market on social media to psyop the world into suicide. As I wrote, the actual Antichrist Peter Thiel wrote an op-ed in the Financial Times to brag about it. Mark Zuckerberg now identifies as Bro-Borg as well and is taking Facebook and Instagram with him.
On the other hand, I identify with the humans in my game. I have no interest in having my mind controlled through information poisoning — much less through a chip in my brain. Resistance is not futile, yet.
Zoom today at Noon PT / 3PM ET to talk about the Bro-Borg, how to resist it, and anything else on your mind. It’s friendly and open to questions or just listening. If you haven’t upgraded yet, please consider it. Hope to see you!
