He always hedges (like Mike Rothschild) by saying that he thinks Flynn is a scumbag, but goes on to soft say that he’s not doing subversive activities. He’s just a senile boomer who is too pilled to organize a cult, while being a wily clever grifter at the same time. He’s also really sensitive about Saint Mike’s theosophy. For this, he thinks it’s more likely he found the prayer on the street then that he’s a believer. That exchange was the moment I knew you were right about the Flynn brigade. No honest actor would think that is a reasonable weighing of the probability of each scenario. He was sent to cover for Flynn.
