Thanks Jim for painting the canvas that I might see the Dark Enlightenment as an existential threat to our liberal democratic principles. The problem is that deconstructing the federal government is an inside job in its effort to achieve epistemological totalitarianism. It's insidious to our limited view and has a cover through our expectation of principles to uphold the constitution. Yet I have not found leverage available when a majority party does not provide an ounce of prevention towards the destructive forces. This is a grand betrayal provided by the corrupt republican dominant Supreme Court which called money free speech, rigged a state’s ability to cheat and strip voting rights, and adding infallibility to the rule of the president, all within their interpretation of the constitution. It's tyranny at the highest level. As we are now laid bare to the tragedy unfolding with our elected officials outdoing the destructive forces of climate change, feeling obliged to avert any federal aid to disasters therein. Could a phenomenon like a communicable cancer strain, a virulent strain of leishmaniasis or rampant spread of Lyme disease, an invasive species that strips our forests and crop fields be more foreboding or perceived as a greater threat? Unless a crater hits the US or a devastating volcano erupts to bury a city, this is unprecedented. Since Chris Hedges challenged the increased government authority of surveillance decades ago and lost, there has been a concerted effort to further dismantle this democracy. Let’s together find purchase to leverage against this assault. Let's enlighten our means of deterrence.
Thanks to Jim and his team bringing us together and providing honest answers to the crazy world we find ourselves in today. I look forward to putting this year behind us and envision 2026 as the dismantling of the oligarchy worldwide. Lots of work before us, but our community is growing stronger by the day, I can feel it and I see it happening in my own reactionary town here in New Jersey. People are starting to see, starting to listen, starting to realize who is fucking things up, and who must be brought down. Happy Holidays and merry Christmas to all
