I have all these kids I'm raising but this doesn't bode well for a future for them and that just chaps my ass. What sort of life will they have if these fuckers succeed? I'm old now and I'll fight for our country, but this won't end well for any of us if we can't stop these nutbags.

I would add Netanyahu to the list.

the reason musk can so confidently say "zero" people have died is that his definition of "people" is extremely narrow -- only subhumans have died as a result of his cuts, in his perverted and violent worldview

Trump's niece Mary says that if he thinks he's going down, he'll try to take everyone else with him. I believe her.

All you say about their narcissism and vindictiveness is correct. At the base of it all is the corruption. They are at the top of their sphere of influence and power. So even though they commit crimes in plain sight they are still not punished. They may lose their job but not their influence. Until we start punishing them like we do those lower down the ladder then nothing will change. The J6 investigations put the low level players in jail but the lead instigator walked free. He was even rewarded to a more powerful job. Those justices that should have punished him, now are employed by him!

“Elon’s case for financial and racial dominance, Trump’s case for his own personal dominance, and Putin’s case for imperialist dominance, are all being shown to be fraudulent”

I would say that these three men are unconsciously driven to avenge the powerless little boys they once were. Trump was dominated by his arrogant, contemptuous father who divided the world into “killers” and “losers.” Musk’s father was a straight up Nazi whose contempt was directed at darker skinned people and tender-hearted little white boys. And Putin grew up in a grim, Stalinesque world, a poor boy alone in a rat-infested neighborhood where he was bullied and humiliated by the big boys.

They came to believe that tenderness and empathy were vile and pathetic attributes that would make them targets of ridicule and coldhearted cruelty. As a psychological defense, they all came to identify with the aggressor, to subordinate themselves to the tyrannical father-figure for his approval. As they grew, their character was shaped by unconsciously emulating these entitled, domineering role models.

The tragedy of Trump, Musk, and Putin, is that they are each in their own way, trying to live up to the image that as small boys they held of their father figures…men who were unassailably in charge, admirable, and idealizable. But the reality for each of them, that Jim points out eloquently, is that they’ve over-reached and they’re unable to achieve their grandiose delusions of omnipotence.

This kind of public “failure” can re-evoke the painful and shameful feelings they felt as little boys. These narcissistic injuries are usually defended against by a retaliatory show of power…redoubled efforts, physical force, snarling contempt, or not-so-hidden threats. In Trump’s case, he displaces his narcissistic rage at journalists, threatening them with the humiliating loss of employment while reasserting his deep-seated conviction that nobody else matters, nobody else even exists but himself, and anyone who doesn’t recognize this “fact” will be miserable all the days of their lives, or may not even live at all.

Coming from a man psychologically organized around revenge, this is a thinly disguised threat directed at all of us. All the more reason to impeach, convict, and remove.

Observer's avatar

Hi, Vee… I hear you! Obviously, there’s no one answer here, but I agree that many boys are dominated by fathers or older brothers, and grow up in what some psychologists have called a culture of cruelty. They are gutted of their humanity, their tenderness and loving kindness is ridiculed out of them, then they’re stuffed with grandiosity, an impossible image of machismo that they never feel they can quite live up to.

Does that sound like what you’ve observed?

VEE LAVALLEE's avatar

As a Phd can you please give me, a layperson a reason why some men behave this way. I'm asking because as old as I am and as many men as I've met, I find that their childhood that is because of a dominant father or mother in some cases makes them so odious. Then because they lack proper grounding, so that when they get powerful enough they blame everybody else! Why can't they feel that they've achieved something and feel good about themselves instead of carrying that lack of not being "good enough" around with them and making others suffer?

Yep. I'm no prophet, but when that monster was elected in 2016, I felt in my very bones that this was something from which the USA might never recover. And the second time--well, that was the nail in the coffin. Sarah Kendzior was right--Biden turned out to be just a place-holder. Deeply, deeply scary and sad.

This is a horrific revelation, Jim, but turning over every rock is mandatory. All three, by their psychological make-up, are absolute nihilists. I wish everyone who's sane would zoom out and see this Big Picture for themselves.

Trump is preparing for a ground invasion of Iran, The movement of men and material to the mid east has increased. More tellingly is his bombing campaign. There is a thing called shaping he battlefield, softening up before the invasion or fight, which is what he is doing on Queshm and Larak Islands.

The southern edge of Queshm Island, is nothing but sandy beach, and Hegseth has been bombing the area, which has no IRGC facilities. Qeshm Island once you move from the coast is a death trap, there is no water source, it gets all of it's water from desalinization plants.. and it's only purpose is as a lookout over the Gulf of Persia. Larak Island has an oil pumping station, but it's main purpose is bunkering, (essentially filling the gas tank of tankers, not their cargo holds).

Both serve as toll booths, which can be used to inspect outbound vessels, to see if they have bought the "Easy pass", and all that requires is dudes with binoculars and a lawn chair. and a cheap ship radar that can be bought at any marine supply store.

I've seen pictures of the terrain of Queshm island, I am a former military parachutist, 200 jumps, five in Vietnam (Hoc Mon DZ),and itis not one I would care to jump into,it is a death trap.

The Island is 66 miles long, at its largest 21 iles across, has 54 villages, and no water supply. and sits under the gaze of the Zagros mountains, as does Kharq island, heavily mined at the western end o fhe gulf.

There will be a lot of weeping widows in Fayetteville, NC and San Diego,CA .

And it will be all Trump. He is caught in the prisoners dilemma, a situation of his own making and from which there is no solution.

Everything, from a basketball and football game, to international relations, that Trump touches dies. He is indeed the grim reaper.

I might posit a theory of my own. The little dicktator and his underlings want to commit genocide! No?

William Farrar's avatar

Genocide against what group? The war on DEI is a war against women, gays, against everyone except straight, white males, which puzzles me? Why so many Hispanics, blacks, Indians, Jews are in his army. MAGA women, I understand, they are fools who hitch their wagons to men as providers and security, which only lasts until she gets traded in for a younger model, and she becomes too old and unattractive to find another provider and protector.

VEE LAVALLEE's avatar

So same old same old essentially. When will the world governments become honest! If you know all this why are not all people from grade one up taught it. If you’re going to say that the powers that be in school boards don’t allow it then why aren’t THEY challenged? So many questions. My ex was a teacher and then a principal and I noticed how much he changed his point of view as he rose through the ranks. After I left he decided not to pursue education anymore and became a property buyer for profit. It was so counter to his views 15 to 20 years earlier. Do educators lose their idealism. Are you an educator William? Just curious. Most hobbyists of history don’t know so much.

William Farrar's avatar

You can only teach what you are taught. I spent three years as a drill instructor, my lesson plans, were given to me, and I was evaluated on how effective my instruction was.

Same with teachers, Kindergrarten to Doctorate. I did have one professor I respected. Statistics, he required us to read and tested on "How to Lie with Statistics"

I actually educated my professor in Finance, with my research, I did due diligence and requested and received documentation from the Federal Reserve, Bank for International Settlements, Bank of Israel, and even a book on Soviet Banking and one on Soviet Marketing.

My research convinced me and him that "Things are not as they appear"

I've become a skeptic ever since.

VEE LAVALLEE's avatar

Oh sorry I should have been clearer. I was referring to the Iranians.

VEE LAVALLEE's avatar

Sounds like you came by your skepticism honestly. My ex started with a B Ed then a Masters yet still he gave up and decided to let down the kids he was teaching. I spoke to several of them and they thought he was a great teacher! Most of them were indigenous and or poor and yet he was still influential in their lives. If I was him I would have been proud of that. Yet he didn't value his input in their lives anymore. Anyway thanks for your back story.

William Farrar's avatar

Iranians want to commit genocide? Granted they chant moq bar Ysrael.

But wiping out the state of Israel is not genocide, ethnic cleansing yeh, now that guy Adolph he gave a go at genocide.

Fact is Israel and Islam are locked in a never ending religious war, fundamentalist end time Xtians too.

Fundamentalist end time Xtians and Muslims, believe that the end times (day of judtgement) will only come when the Mahdi/Messiah comes back and the Jews are wiped out or converted to a. Jesus or b. Muhammadism.

Israel on it's part, at least the Haredi, and secular right wingers are committed to the vision of Eratz Ysrael, Greater Israel, as symbolized by the flag, with the blue stripe at the top representing the Nile, the one at the bottom representing the Euphrates and in between Ysrael represented by the Mogen David.

Everyone has genocide on their mind, or at least ethnic cleansing, by everyone I mean the religious extremists, Xtian, Jew, Muslim and some not so religious, but heavy on identity politics.

VEE LAVALLEE's avatar

No I meant that the Americans want to commit genocide of the Iranians. Hey if Israel can do it and both leaders are genocidal maniacs, it’s definitely on the cards. Little dicktator trump keeps threatening to blow them to kingdom come if they don’t surrender and make him look like a “winner” to his red hatters so it’s not beyond the bounds of probability is it?

William Farrar's avatar

It is not the Iranians that Americans want to get rid off, Did you know that Iran is modern Farsi for Eran, and Eran meant land of the Aryans. Aryan is an old Sanscrit word, I think, that means noble.

And yes dicktator Trump is willing to commit genocide, because he has lost the war that he started.

The dude has a massive inferiority complex, and can't stand the thought of losing, anything. His Daddy, told him that the most degading thing in the world is a loser.

And he has lost a war that he and Bibi started.

He has lost because America and the west have a lower pain threshold than Iran.

Iran is an authoritative, theocratic regime. America is on the way to becoming one, but isn't quite there yet.

Trump can threaten and bomb Iran for the rest of his life, but until he kills every Shia Muslim, including the ones in Iraq (the Ayatollah is their Pope). and as long as the Guardians of the Revolution (IRGC) can inflict damage on a ship. he has lost.

We are going on the second day of quiet, no attacks, probably, my guess, is that the Houthi's have closed the Bab al Mandeb strait, and the insurance companies won't even insure vessels leaving Yanbu (Saudi's pumping and bunkering station on the Red Sea)

Trump and Hegseth were prepping Qeshm and Larak Island, and the Port of Bandar Abass (Bandar means port in Arabic) for an airborne and/orsea assault, but that only brought in the Houthi's, and Hegseth is unable to fight a war on two fronts, that and we have damn near exhausted or supply of missiles and rockets (for the PATRIOT systems, PAC-2 and PAC-3.

And if Hegseth tries to invade the Island or the mainland, it will be a slaughter, and this ain't 1941, and the only party has had launched a bombing campaign while talking peace, is Trump

I am already paying $6 a gallon, are you ready, how about $8 and empty store shelves because it cost a $1,000 to fill a diesel truck tank.

A month again the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) was 319 Million barrels, we consume 20 million barrels a day, Exxon, Chevron, et al export 4 million a day, to take advantage of the increase in the spot price of oil.

Our national defense reserve (necessary to defend the country, fuel the jets, tanks, trucks is 270 million barrels, we produce about 13 million barrels per day

Do the math, we are at or near tank bottom and that is why the price of gas is now over $4 a gallon, and climbing to $6 then $8 and then long lines and like in 1973, rationed and limited to getting gas on odd and even days.

BTW, Crimea is already going through the pain, as Ukraine has virtually destroyed the land bridge and ports.

Ukraine, has with drones, closed off the south bound "land bridge" that goes though Donetsk, leaving the north bound open to accommodate the Russians returning back to Mother Russia

This good be our fate, Trump knows it and is angry, because he is terrified, and when he is terrified, he is even more violent and reckless.

It feels like someone simultaneously opened all the zoo cages housing malignant narcissists, including Netanyahu and Thiel, and set them free upon the world, to inflict maximum destruction on civilization.

If we are not prepared to collectively and decisively rebel, our only hollow comfort in surrender will be the knowledge that they will eventually turn against each other.

Have we seen this already when trump refuses to receive Netanyahu at the White House?

They’re partners in prosecuting a war. There’s legislation trying to tie the two militaries and intelligence services together and now trump won’t entertain Netanyahu? That seems like a big deal, no?

Will I be surprised if trump helps the ICC to arrest Netanyahu? No, he’s used the authorities to run cover for him many times over his criminal career.

VEE LAVALLEE's avatar

That's a good point I hadn't considered. I've really got to be more devious.

john king (MY HUMBLE OPINION)'s avatar

Yes. Epstein's arrest and "murder," immediately comes to mind, as an example of Trump's self preservation at all costs. Trump probably always felt like a second fiddle to Epstein, while he was alive.

Twyla 🇨🇦's avatar

I remain unconvinced that Epstein is truly dead. The series of coincidences on the night of his alleged suicide leave room for doubt that it was his body they moved out of his cell.

S Russell's avatar

Absolutely. I've spent the last few months digging into the files and I've read all the DOJ OIG depositions with the BOP employees at the prison, including the one with the warden just 2 days ago, and I fully believe he was extracted. Of course, the proof isn't there yet so we have to pretend like he "died", but everything that happened that night is shady as hell.

I just learned from the warden's depo that Epstein's cell mate was conveniently extracted from the prison earlier in the day, about 12 hours before Epstein "killed himself". None of the prison employees knew beforehand that his cellmate was to be pulled from the prison, including the warden. Meanwhile, the warden himself conveniently happened to take that week off so he wasn't even at the prison.

Remember too that 2 days before his "death", Epstein changed his will to leave his entire operation to his "girlfriend" with deep Russia ties, Karyna Shuliak. Nevermind his extensive ties to the CIA that began during the Iran-Contra scandal helping them smuggle the guns and drugs. I could go on for hours but yeah, my money's on him livin it up in some foreign country under a new identity...

VEE LAVALLEE's avatar

Dammit now I'm wondering if Mitch is alive or dead. If he's dead and they are covering up by keeping the Capital Police outside the hospital to give the illusion that he's still in there. Has Elvis left the building or not? Also how are they protecting him sitting outside in their vehicles and rotating the drivers. Surely they would be outside whatever door he's behind or even inside with him! How were they protecting a "suicidal" Epstein by not monitoring his bunk bed. The cameras "malfunctioning" is too effing much!

S Russell's avatar

Yeah, Trump's been second, third, and fourth fiddle to everybody he's ever envied, even now as President, and deep down he knows it and it eats him alive. That tiny voice inside him that's been defiantly and mockingly reminding him that he's a loser and always will be, is the very source of his personality disorder.

In a very small way, I take a little solace in knowing that his biggest tormentor is, and forever will be, himself.

As far as the inevitable point when narcissist eats narcissist, I've been waiting for that for quite some time. Honestly, this entire psychotic administration would be a perfect research study for a future psychology student. The entire admin is chock full of narcissists, and yet, the lower level ones demonstrate both codependency and narcissistic traits simultaneously.

You just know it has to eat Hegseth, RFK, Miller, Bessent, and all the rest alive to have to grovel to and debase themselves to such a pathetic, incompetent, diaper filling buffoon each and every day. My guess is that it likely has resulted in them becoming far bigger abusers to their families all those below them...

“Techno-apocalyptic lunacy” 🏆

S Russell's avatar

What I've thought about a lot in recent years is just how vulnerable, codependent, and ill prepared a majority of humanity proves to be with regard to these narcissists. Despite plenty of examples throughout modern history, as a species we seem hell-bent on falling prey to these pathetic worms again and again.

Honestly, I believe we should be introducing all of our children to psychology and teaching them about these dangerous personality disorders in grade school. Prepare them to recognize the signs, understand the danger, and possess the skills to manipulate and overpower them.

What's really telling is that the narcissists in states like mine here in Florida apparently recognize the threat posed to them by an educated populace, specifically one which recognizes them for who and what they really are. That's why the state has been eliminating psych and philosophy courses in classrooms and colleges throughout Florida. After all, we can't very well fight back against an enemy when we fail to even recognize that they are an enemy...

VEE LAVALLEE's avatar

First off I'm sorry that your State is the biggest consumer of little dicktators philosophy which is like Musk's. They both think that if you believe in them and give them the recognition they feel they deserve then of course it will trickle down to the mere humans who are the the ones that produce their wealth for them. Now they've convinced so many that if they keep making them rich they in turn will become richer. I'm hoping in vain that many will wake up and realise that it's all a BIG lie! Teaching children to understand these kinds of psychologies isn't as hard as some may think. Most think you have to go to university to gain that kind of knowledge. Whereas I believe that children at about the age of seven years old can generally take on those concepts if they are introduced to them. A child that is treated like an idiot will generally grow to believe they are. A child that is treated like an intelligent human being will grow up to believe they are. So stop dumbing down knowledge to make adults feel only they can understand complex issues.

S Russell's avatar

I completely agree. I've always criticized the far too common practice of treating children like they should be seen and not heard. That type of treatment is not only mildly abusive but it's also extremely harmful to our children's self esteem and social/emotional growth. In part, it's one of the factors that contributed to the massive surge in all of these emotionally fragile, self absorbed, close minded adult infants we're contending with now.

As far as preparing our children to understand what creates these types of personality disorders and how to spot them, defend against them, and disarm them, I agree that we can and should start at an early age. Not only are children able to handle such topics if presented in an age appropriate manner, but it can also help to ensure that they themselves don't start to develop those disorders too...

VEE LAVALLEE's avatar

The fact that knowledge is power and no knowledge is ever wasted. In my old age I am still learning things for the first time! It surprises me because even a kid in a family of 7 kids our parents never talked down to us. If it was appropriate we would be included in discussions that would affect our lives. I learned a lot about war for instance when I was under 10 years old. My dad was in the army before and during the Second World War (24 years) and would tell me about everything if I asked the question. He never sugarcoated the realities. It didn't frighten me or give me nightmares, it did the opposite. It taught me to have empathy, even for the enemy. My parents best friends after the war with Germany was German couple! I know Kegsbreath wants to get that out of HIS fighting mans forces because he wants robotic killers. Hence the testosterone shots I believe! He doesn't seem to understand that they are going to have to live lives after the war is over and are still going to be in the "killer mode" he is brainwashing them with. Of course that's not his problem. He's going to ascend to Valhalla and live eternally at the right hand of god. Why do Americans have such a weird religious trait? No other country is as extreme as this. But that's another conversation.
