As someone who grew up hunting and living on a farm I do see the use for firearms. I see absolutely no need for a civilian to own an assault rifle. They are designed and and manufactured for one reason and that is to kill humans. If someone needs a rifle that they claim is for hunting purpose's and is able to shoot more then 5 rounds, that person has no business hunting, and the same for large capacity mags for hand guns.
If anyone thinks that they and their buddies can dress up in camo and and arm themselves with AR-15's are somehow are going to be able to over throw the US government... well its not guns and body armor etc... they need; it's medication for their delusional believes.
